Otra belleza escénica de Miami que te invitamos a visitar es el Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, ubicado en Virginia Key, cerca de Rickenbacker Causeway, puente que une el continente con Key Biscayne. En esta zona se encuentran también el Miami Seaquarium, la Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science the University of Miami, y la sede de Miami Marine Stadium. Añadido al National Register of Historic Places en el año 2002, el Historic Virginia Key Beach Park estuvo cerrado al público por casi 30 años y en el 2008 fue reabierto, lo que hace de éste un lugar mágico, recóndito e invaluable, que preserva y se preocupa por su medio ambiente.

There is no place like home. Home is where the heart is. My heart is here. Im a water bird. I see and feel the motion and the moods of the ocean. I watch it get excited as we near the weekends and holidays. I see her turn to black ice and become as smooth as glass without some much as the tiniest ripple. I feel her rage and rise up like a disgruntled protestors. She dances with the wind, and shares her moisture with the sun. And reaps the mighty rains with the vibrations of the thunder. The activity from the great manatees, dolphins, and the multitude of fish, foul and sea creators is comparable to the living things on land. She gets a 5 star rating above the awesome view. Its for the thinks she says when she learns to talk to you. Like "I know I stole your heart but welcome home".

We were at the Main Pavilion for a party and it was amazing! it has a great set up and its in a great location in the park. Close to the bathrooms, carousel, train ride, kiddie park, parking lot, concessions, and beach. It is in good condition and also has a spigot - which we used to fill water balloons! Great place for a party! The beach is not great...but there is so much to do at this park that it wasnt a big deal. If you do decide to go in, the bathrooms are nearby and they have showers with doors down to the floor and hot water as well as changing rooms. p.s. Im terrified of lizards and this place is COVERED in iguanas!

Exelente espacio para pasar un día de playa con amigos o familia . El lugar cuenta con playa . Parque banos . Para hacer parrillas . Cuenta con. Mesas techadas es muy amplio . El día que fúy la playa estabas muy clara . Hermosa y caliente de verdad un espectáculo . Me gustó mucho el lugar .

This is a beautiful place to walk or bike around. There is a historic lighthouse here. If you have the guts to walk to the top it has amazing 360 views. There is a great beach that is much more relaxing and calm than south beach. My choice over SB any day. Plenty of walking trails. Theres also a little seafood restaurant and cove where boats tie up if you can find it. Great for families or for a friendly BBQ or picnic. Spend an hour or make a day of it.

Truly a diamond in the rough. While we visited Virginia key park beach, I didnt know the history of this naturally beautiful place. At first glance, I wanted to leave and go to another beach. Then I started to feel peaceful, comfort, not care in the world. I really cant explain the feeling, I knew there was something special about this place. My family will be exploring this park/beach again in the near future.

Beautiful place, they have a Historic Carousel as well as a Mini train that you can ride for free on the weekends. The have surf boards for rent, cabanas, pavilions to rent for parties, overnight apartments to rent for camping, they sell food, dressing rooms, showers, and the staff are really friendly and nice. Just knowing that i was at a historic beach was so amazing. I loved it. definitely going back.

The worst beach experience Ive ever had in south Florida. The sand felt different from every other beach Ive ever been to, it was dirty and a struggle to find parking, the water was not clear and looked nothing like Miami Beach, Halle dale, Fort Lauderdale, or anybeach ive ever encountered between those. I was very disappointed. I got up and left after about 30 minutes.

Beautiful park & natural preserve! The history beach is inspirational.... I highly recommend that anyone visiting Miami, make it a point to visit this Beach/ Park. The Historic Vriginia Key Beach Park Trust has done a phenomenal job in restoring this historically significant beach.... in a region of many beaches, this truly stands alone.

I wouldnt come here to swim. Parking is $10. The water is murky, shallow and full of seaweed, sharp rocks and mud that makes your feet sink. The beach is covered with litter and on most days all the shaded spots are taken. Not sure why people come here except maybe to go boating or take their kids to the playground.

This is my favorite beach in the whole world. Its a natural beach and its amazing to walk along the shore. Theres a clay deposit there too, its lots of fun to play with! The only bad thing is they close at 7ish which is way too early for me, i wish it would be open longer.

Beautiful! I highly recommend visiting. Not a lot to see until you get there but a cool derelict waterfront theater! I enjoyed seeing the tallest sand castle! Go see it before it all falls down. Seriously, beautiful place, gorgeous beach.

Great park and beaches for every age. A lot to do and explore. Water/sand can be a bit rocky so be careful where you place your step. Please take your trash with you!. The further you go the less people and nicer it gets.

This place is a paradise. Only that all parks so far close at Sunset, this people made us leave at 6 pm even when the sunset will be around 7:30 or later, we even had to turn off the barbecue without finishing the food.

Such an amazing place! You see people walking with their backpacks, others cycling while you are there for rowing and paddleball on the beach. Thats one of the best places for whom looks for nature in Miami region

This hidden gem is at the end of Virginia Key. During weekdays it is very tranquil and almost feels private. It can get busy on weekends and holidays. It is located right next to the mountain bike park.
