This is an Awesome Park, And as first I have tho Admit I was A little Apprehensive about taking my kids to this park because of its "LOCATION" near Downtown Jacksonville!!! However after visiting my fears were Calmed The Atmosphere is A Definite Surprise Ill say ( Theres a Catholic School across the street! Theres Also a beautiful Camellia garden and beautiful oak trees they are So Gorgeous and contain so much History !) Overall I recommend this park to everyone who loves being outside with their kids and love ones!!

The playground could use a little more shade for the kids and the duck pond could use some cleaning but otherwise its a nice park. Playground for toddlers and older kids. Benches/seating for patents at the playground. There are also picnic tables. There are great restaurants in the area as well. (Such as M-Shack) There is also a 7-Eleven across the street... And a Publix down the road. Also, there is no restroom.

Ill be honest. This park was rubbish before Pokemon Go came out. To bed this review up a little, Ill mention that I would only go here during the day, and if you go at night bring a buddy. Its got a clean kids play ground, very clean and well kept. There IS an area in the back that some homeless folk like to congregate and crash for the evening. This can attract some unsavory likings.

the pond smells because people feed the birds bread. the EPA needs to clean up the water and place signs educating people about environmental sustainability. The playground is okay, occasional homeless people but nothing to be too alarmed about I guess. There are no bathrooms or water fountains, which I guess is good since that could start a whole other problem with cleanliness.

This Dog park is Boo !!! You can get mugged under a bridge and killed !!! This place has alot of homeless people! No parking available !!! Theres no grass at all. Makes the downtown area look alot nicer !!! Independence Park downtown Jacksonville is way better ! Only complaint theres no security there ! Also the city should fine or pick up the dog poop !!!

This is a beautiful location with a huge pond in the middle theres lots of different play areas for your children as well as a lot of walking areas for you and your family/friends. off in the corner theres an area to take your pet in a new dog park, plenty benches to sit around and people watch or read a book

The play equipment is nice, and the trees and fountain are lovely. However, there is no restroom, and you have to park on the street. Also, being a downtown area, we did have to wade through a few crazies chanting religious doctrine.

We brought the kids here for a picnic and play date. There is plenty of open space to run around and play ball. There is also nice playground equipment and swings. Parking can be a pain but its well worth it.

Magnificent views of the Saint Johns River, Downtown Jacksonville and The Southern view of the river. The bronze statue/ fountain is beautiful and its tranquility away from the divisiveness of the citizens.

The playground for the children is wonderful!! Yet the transients are dangerous, I have been threatened twice! ISO needs to clean them out of this neighborhood park! The park has changed over the years!

Nice park downtown. Many nice restaurants within five minutes walk. Parking may be an issue. Ducks and geese from the pond *will* ask for food. Several PokéStops and a gym right across the street. :-)

one of my favorite parks in this city, very clean and relaxing the benches are clean and on a sunny day is a fantastic spot to sit and relax, it is also very close to many restaurants and local pubs.

Descent little park. The pond is insanely filthy and discolored, but the rest of the park is quite beautiful. Nice little play area and it is always cool for the kids to see and feed the ducks!

One of my favorite parks in Jacksonville:) the pond could use some deep cleaning tho, especially since a variety of ducks, turtles, and other animals live and play around it.

Nice playground equipment, but its starting to show some wear and tear. Feeding the ducks is fun for the kids. Every now and then, there has been some intrusive panhandling.

Decent enough park. The trees are lovely. The pond is dirty and nasty looking. Polluted. There are these interesting chicken-looking creatures that wander the park.

Pretty urban park with duck pond and playground. A little noisy from the highway. Lots of great events throughout the year. Love the Veg Fest with a Bohemian touch.

Nice park with good playground equipment. The pond needs some attention but the huge trees are very nice and make a great backdrop for photos.

It has a gated pond with a bunch of ducks and geese. You can feed them and just a good place to relax and a good view of Jacksonville.

Take my kids here every Sunday. The city needs to keep the pond clean for the sake of the ducks
