The campground was located all the way south of US1. It is gated at night with a pin pad for entry... and open to public during the day..The park was large and very well-maintained. The RV section of the park did not have a lot of privacy but had numerous fifth wheels and campers. The lot size was decent. The speed limit is 10 mph and everyone will make sure that that is obeyed.. so be cautious when driving through. The center of the RV park has a large circle seating area for bonfire fire pit some type of group activity. There was an office at the front that is a trailer home and a Nother trailer home in the center that two local sheriffs deputys reside in. There are a few employees all that seemed friendly. In the center of the park there is a concrete building with the men and womens facility, two toilets & two showers that were well-kept. Laundry facility that has coin-operated machines. There are camping sites available for people with tense. They have three separate choices for campsites. All of the prices were affordable and offer optional amenities. There was small playground with slide and swings that is surrounded by a chain-link fence. There is a dog walk area that is fenced in chain-link is well. There are small canals that run throughout the park. The lands are natural savanna preserve not to be disturbed. There was a mixture of people from the RV park to the campsites. There were retired couples with small pets to families with young children to early 20s. Everybody says it was very friendly and sociable with each other. I recommend this for a safe clean facility that is large and has a variety of ages.

It is a beautiful place and the people very friendly. The place is a wildlife sanctuary so it is important to realize that and respect the wildlife as we are guests on their preserve. It is a bird watchers paradise and there are alligators! Pets must be leashed at all times and please respect others and the native species by picking up after them. Also dont feed the animals. It is tempting but this is a wilderness preserve and we should attempt to observe but dont disturb! This campground has hook-ups for RVs and campsites. It has laundry facilities a historic small house that serves as the office, merger camp store and lounge. The wi-if doesnt work well but maybe it shouldnt - come to relax and unwind! The bathrooms are ok not fancy but relatively clean and would be cleaner if each guest cleaned up after themselves - hint. It is a special place and if you can take time to "smell the coffee" and relax you will love being here. Tell them Robert sent you! Hope to be back at some point!

Recently completed Indian Hills Recreation Area is located off Savannah Road between Indian River Drive and US1. The area boasts picnic areas, walking trails and a trail around the perimeter of the newly expanded retention pond with workout stations. Parking is located on both sides of Savannah Road: on the south side and on the north side behind the animal control building. Both parking areas are accessible via a walking path that crosses Savannah Road. Beautifully landscaped and hidden away, it is uncrowded and lightly used so far, but as the news of the renovations become more widely known, I expect this park to become a favorite of locals.

If I could give negative stars, I would. We drove from Vero to go kayaking and the moment we walked through the door, we werent even greeted, just looked at like we were interrupting his nap by the rudest man who did nothing but try to discourage us from going out on the water. This was our first time going and it will be our last.

Beau camping très propre. Sympathique. Tous les sites sont en bordure dun canal. Sentiers de marche. Chemins poussiéreux.

Quiet, staff is great. Pricing is the cheapest in the area. There are two dog parks. But being a nature preserve means they dont spray for mosquitoes. Be warned...you are for dinner!

had a lot of fun , No thanks to Google Earth which puts the park on the ST Lucie river instead of being CLOSE TO THE INDIAN RIVER ? its a mile east of US 1 not west on Google Earth ,

There is a nice paved jogging path towards the back of the campground and fun playground for kids. The area is quiet and scenic. There is also a dog park in the area.

Bad only because Everytime I go to get a site they never have any available and they have me waiting almost all day to tell me that so this is why I say they suck.
