Waste of money for nothing,we went to this place yesterday night (Saturday) just because of reviews,we usually going to night clubs with house music and we like to dance,so here we go one of the best night clubs in DC; 1 a.m no lights effects whatsoever like com on seriously??? They even turned on the regular lights for like 5 minutes why!!! I have no idea what kinda DJs there but if they say "house music"they have pretty bad understanding of that,I literally heard same exactly music at 2nd and 3rd floor at the same time and it sucked no bits, you just kinda have to stand around and chill like in the lounge not "Night Club"! Well dont get why on last floor drinks are pricier since its same stuff just like on previous floor, what I saw is not a lot of people standing on the dance floor in the dark lol almost fell asleep there its just complete joke I wouldnt recommend unless you wanna waste your money oh yeah and you have to pay 20$ to go upstairs, well played they had boring music on first floor which makes us to go upstairs and hope theres smt better if we have to pay for it,good trick dont get fooled or bring your own speaker.

Its funny reading comments from people who have no place coming to this club. This is an underground Techno/House club that may showcase something else depending on the promoter - so know who you are going for if you come! A few pointers for those who have never been...1.) This is NOT an EDM club, go somewhere else if thats your thing...you are prob not wanted here. 2.) This is a no camera/flash type of setting, leave it in your purse or pocket. 3.) Do not dress like you are going to fancy it up somewhere. This is a casual hip type of place. 4.) This is not a bottle service club where you will get little sparklers and a waiter coming around to tend to your feeble needs and requests 5.) If you request a song from the DJ you will most likely get thrown out or slapped. I highly recommend next door if you want the latest in pop.

Best "music-focused" club in dc and the only venue to see techno and tech house. Three floors (bar area and small dancefloor on first floor, big room on second floor, and roof deck in warm weather) - headliners play in the big room which has the best sound system in dc and great lighting around the room. While you will still find some people coming out who dont know the djs (they usually stay on the first floor or on the roof), for the most part the crowd here knows the djs and the music very well. Crowd skews a bit older and more mature (techno and house fans are usually older than trap or edm fans) than at other DC electronic music venues. If you are in dc and you want to see techno, tech house, or deep house then this is your only option (soundcheck and echostage host edm, trap, dubstep, and trance djs).

They booked one of my favorite DJs, marketed the event effectively, and attracted a great crowd, but the bouncers were unnecessarily rude to almost all of my friends at one point or another over the course of the night. Example: My friend took a picture with the flash on and one bouncer immediately came over and told him that wasnt allowed (fair), but then the other bouncer (who watched the first bouncer tell him off) came over like 10 seconds later and lectured us all ("you guys REALLY cant use flash photography or you WILL be kicked out"). Example 2: One of the bouncers aggressively shoulder bumped me for no particular reason then just kind of creepily stared me down and walked away. Just saying, if you want to be a hip underground EDM club, dont hire bouncers who are on power trips!

I routinely drive over 2 hours to Flash throughout the year. Mainly because they have the highest quality sound system in the northeast by a mile. The fact that they struggle to compete with the bigger northeast clubs in attracting the big names actually works in Flashs favor at times since this results in big names playing small intimate shows on certain Thursday or Wednesday nights. Special mention for the staff as well. Its so refreshing to see an electronic music club without the pretentiousness you normally find in most upscale clubs.

Awesome venue with a great sound system (Function-One speakers) and really trippy light system. This is THE PLACE to see techno and tech-house and the 3rd floor is "the beach:" with an outdoor pebbly beach/smoking zone. Good people and great music, one of DCs only underground techno clubs. To top it off, get your photo taken in the photo booth and exit through the secret door! Cash only $10-20 to go up to the 2nd and 3rd floors where the action is, free to stay on the 1st.

The atmosphere was fine but the bartenders pretended that my debit card was not going through and once my friend paid to cover me, I looked at my bank account and they charged both my friend and I for my tab when they said my card wouldnt go through and I never signed a receipt. If you decide to go to this bar, do not open a tab because the bartenders will definitely try and scam you. I will not be going back anytime soon!

This dance club is one of my favorites in DC. There are 3 levels with dance floors and the 2nd floor is my spot. World class DJs spin and the crowd is usually diverse and trendy but it has its regular patrons who chill on the first floor (which is free). Drinks can be on the pricy side but cheaper than other venues. The 3rd floor has a roof top which opens during warm weather.

The lights, sound and experience make the club feel like you are in Miami, not DC. The recent opening of the rooftop was a welcome addition as it has a dancefloor and view of U Street. Additionally, the front door staff is great - I lost my wallet one night and they found it and returned it to me the next day. Highly highly recommend.

Great vibe and crowd. This bar/club is a little tucked away in Shaw, but worth checking out. The bar poured strong drinks and the DJ (especially Alberto) kept the crowd moving. Nice outdoor section to sneak out to when things warm up. The upstairs is supposed to be more of a dance floor, but we stayed on the ground level.

Intimate, chic-style club, with full service bar, and 3 levels, main attraction is House music. A good mix of artists, and very chill vibe, you can dress up here or dress down. One of the best sound systems around, bring ear protection to continue your enjoyment of awesome music!

The best spot in DC to hear proper House music on not just one but two Function 1 sound systems. 3 levels, 3 bars, coat check, open air rooftop & specialty hand crafted cocktails. The Moscow Mule is fantastic with their home made ginger syrup & fresh lime juice.

Housing one of the best sound systems in the city, hosting some of the best DJs in the world!! A lot of great memories here and Id recommend it to anybody looking to get acquainted with the House and Techno scene of the DMV area. One love.

Amazing house music. We dont know what the bathrooms or bars are like since we went straight to the dj/music. The music is well played and their lighting/sound system is AMAZING. Sincerely, look no further for your house dance scene.
