Riverdale Golf Club includes two lovely courses. Unfortunately, the management of the two courses has caused me to never want to play golf on either of them again. In fact, this is my first and only review of any kind on google, so that all may know that they should be wary of Riverdale Golf Club. Like many courses, Riverdale Golf Club has a policy that it will charge your credit card even if you failed to make your tee time. Unlike most courses, Riverdale actually will charge you and will show no grace whatsoever in the event you failed to show up for a tee time. I obviously recognize the need for a policy like this. I also recognize that Riverdale may have missed out on some amount of revenue (although, I find this highly unlikely, considering on how busy the course is, how many walkups show up, and the time of day my tee time was scheduled). But, golf courses should also be willing to forgive mistakes and to have a certain amount of grace, particularly for repeat customers. Jeff over at Riverdale Golf Club did not. He decided to hold the line, which by the letter of the law, he was entitled to do. By doing so, however, he will never again see me or any of my friends playing at Riverdale.

Worst golf experience I have ever had! Too bad that one bad manager, Jeff Meeker, can ruin such a great facility. I have been golfing for over forty years. My wife and I were part of a foursome this last Sunday. We arrived about 20 minutes before our tee time and after waiting in line to check in for 15 minutes it was necessary for them to send another group out one tee time ahead of us. No problem. When we arrived at the 10th tee we had at least one hole open in front of us and at least a hole open behind us. We were told the snack stand was open and when I headed my cart in that direction Jeff Meeker yelled out at us and said "dont even think about it, you are a hole behind". Then he said "if you dont catch the group in front of you in 2 holes, I will come out and bodily remove you from the course". I held my anger because my wife was there. Keep in mind that the group behind us was at least one hole behind and we never received the slightest warning. We played the front nine in 2 hrs and 10 min. Give me a break. From the looks of this guy, he should spend more time at anger management counseling and less time eating cheeseburgers. I will never play there again, nor will my friends.

great golf course customer service is one of the worst ive ever seen at any golf course probably ever the chunky guy in the pro shop with blonde hair with a buzz cut was so arrogant and rude the funny thing is i could probably whip up on him in golf. i asked about the weather if it was gonna be fair before i left my house and he acted like i just asked him to go to hell. tried to buy a hat waiting for him he would not help me 15 minutyes later i had to leave to make it to the first tee box. and the drink girl lol she doesnt seem to know the difference between a cold drink and a hot drink we ordered 4 drinks 1 was cold the other was about room temperature and the other 2 were so warm they exploded when we opened them yet she gave us the drinks when we were on the tee box so she knew what she was doing when she put the drinks in our cart when we were on the tee box. it also took 5 hours and 10 minutes to play 18 holes thats unacceptable all it was, was a group 2 groups ahead of us taking forwever yet the marshall said nothing to them

I was due to spend the better part of a week in North Westminster dealing with a vendor, and looked around for a course or three to play while I was there. Oddly enough, most of the courses wouldnt book a single! Id heard about the Dunes side of Riverdale, and called the course the day before I left. Spoke with Jeff and described my plight. He said, "Come on down, well get you on." So, the next day (Monday), I got off the plane, headed north, and was playing in no time. By the 2nd hole, I was hooked: this is a TERRIFIC course! If you cant enjoy the Dunes, you simply dont like golf. Enjoyed it so much I didnt bother looking elsewhere. Played it again on Wednesday and Thursday. The staff were courteous and welcoming. None of the "well, youre a single, so wed rather you werent here" BS. Actually hoping the company will send me back to North Westminster.

SLOW PLAY all day. Usually a course will open up after a few holes, not this one. The layout is awful. The 9th hole is not even close to the clubhouse if you want a food or beverage while you are stacked three deep at the turn. During peak season their outer food shack was CLOSED. As far as the golf play, this course is not challenging at all. The greens are not challenging, the length from the back tees is short, scraggly Russian Olive Trees intermittently line each hole and the scenery, on almost every hole, is of the mostly vacant, dirt lot, 4-H arena and barns. The “river” that crosses through the course is a concrete lined irrigation ditch. The course is a cross between desert, parkland and links style and it does none of them well. There are too many other “quality” muni courses in Denver, don’t waste your time playing Riverdale.

Terrible experience. Over a 5 hour round. Pace of play was soooo slow. I have never complained about a golf course or written a bad review before. I understand that there are going to be some times where a golf course is slow and you have to wait, but they simply do not care at this course. They didnt apologize or offer to make it right when it was brought to the attention of the pro shop. They just shrugged their shoulders and basically said That is just the way it is. We talked to some guys that were in front of us that played there often and they said that the pro shop just tries to cram as many people onto the course as possible. It is really hard to ruin a Pete Dye course but that was the one thing they did a great job of.

Attempted to make a tee time in an open slot for a single. The staff member at the pro shop did not want to put a single in the foursome time slot in hopes that a foursome would sign up. Instead offered me a tee time 2 hours later. I declined and said i would look at other courses. He became irritated and hung up on me. The frustration isnt so much the policy rather the way I was treated on the call and the reaction of the staff member. I enjoy the course but have been repeatedly let down by the staff to the point where I no longer feel welcome or willing to spend my money at Riverdale.

Our organization held a golf tournament out at Riverdale a month ago. Jeff, Steve, Mike... the entire management team and food services team were absolutely WONDERFUL to work with. The course was incredible - well manicured, beautiful, and we had comments from almost every golfer about how great their day was because of the course. To top it all off, the staff bent over backward to accommodate our group and make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for making our tournament such a success, Riverdale! Would quickly recommend this course to family and friends.
