Giving Wellshire 5 stars simply due to its hidden gem nature. Designed by Donald Ross in 1926, I think it still presents a challenge for the modern recreational golfer. Multitude of mature trees lining both sides of the fairways, very few of which are straight. Subtle undulations and knolls in the greens will give your green reading skill a solid test. Your long game will get tested as well on holes 7, 12, 13, and 15 which require good tee shots to leave a proper approach shot for a GIR. Have heard from a friend that Hogan considered 7 one of his favorite holes in the nation. The mountain view from 12 tee is nice as well. Beautiful brick Tudor clubhouse is always nice to look at when pulling into the parking lot. Enjoyable golf course for recreational budget-minded golfers. ~$40 to walk, not sure of cart fees, this is an easy walking course.

One of the nicest Denver public courses around. However the staff can be very rude towards kids. Also when Denver Golf brings out Summer rates for juniors they sometimes will not except the rate. Furthermore sometimes if you try to get a walk on they will say stuff like "looks like we are full" when it is a Monday in the middle of the day and they wont check their system to see if they can get me on. Moreover they also give the impression that if you are a kid who just wants to play golf you should leave and never come back. Overall not impressed with the lack of politeness some of the staff has and how they treat others.

Ive been golfing at Wellshire for years and it is my favorite city course. The course itself is challenging enough with trees all over. A beverage/food shack is at the opposite corner of the property from the clubhouse, so you get to fill up 4 times instead of two. The people in the bar are very friendly and the food is excellent. Homemade fries are the best around and the burgers as well as their giant smothered burrito are great after a day of golf. Overall 5 out of 5 for everything. See you there.

Cant say enough great things about this older Denver course. Great trees and landscape management. More importantly, their staff is FANTASTIC. We had a situation arise and the pro, Kirk Mease, went over and above to get us taken care of. You cant teach customer service like that! We will continue to enjoy this great local gem and KUDOS to the staff and especially Kirk! Deanna

This is a below average golf course with below average employees. Their entire staff has an IQ of maybe 80 combined. Their boss or manager simply yells out dumb comments from his back office while his employees struggle to do the most simplistic tasks. Do not go here ever these people are the worst! The City of Denver needs to fire their entire stuff.

Golfed here a few times. First time I went I accidentally drove close to one of the tea boxes as the whole cart path was confusing and wasnt marked well. The Marshall got completely bent out of shape and started yelling at us. Completely unprofessional and rude. This was a few years ago.

The nicest of the Denver Muni courses in my opinion. The course is usually in good shape, minus the mess on the 10th hole which hopefully theyll get fixed up. Take the kids out on the First tee holes just off the first tee box as well which is a bonus.

The course is okay. The greens were a wreck but it was due to aeration, which is understandable. The clubhouse could use updating and the staff is competent, if not friendly or enthusiastic.

Pretty banquet hall for small, intimate wedding. Rustic, antique feel. Bathroom well stocked for mini emergencies.

Fun old school muni course (tiny greens for example) but it is always crowded and the course gets worn down

Old school course makes it easy to walk. Trees are the hazards. Next tee is always right next to last green.

Great old-style course to play a round on. Curvey fairways and an awesome 19th hole at the Wellshire Inn.
