We have been recreational members of the club for a few years now. Now that all the flooding issues have been dealt with and they have upgraded the facilities the venue is much more enjoyable to visit. The staff have always been nothing but wonderful. My spouse works out in the gym nearly every morning before work so its no surprise that they know him, however I go at sporadic times and sometimes not for a few weeks and yet the fitness center staff know my name which to me speaks volumes to the level of service. The restaurant attached to the club itself is not particularly impressive for quality of food. The prices arent unreasonable but weve been let down several times for food - at least they have a bar though. And the hours are more or less non-existant during the winter which is unfortunate, but the hotel restaurant just above the club is always available to us and the quality of food there is much better anyhow. The club does several events throughout the year for members but at least 95% of them are kid-centric. As a couple that doesnt have kids, it leaves little for us to participate in without it being awkward. The quarterly member mixers are nice to attend but thats about it for kid-free events. We do wish there were more opportunities at the club that were adult only however I see that as being unlikely. The only thing thats truly disappointing about this club (and maybe this is the same at every country club, but this is our first membership so I have little for comparison) is the attitude of some of the other members. Many members carry a sense of entitlement which is very apparent and they treat the staff as if they were their housekeepers - leaving towels in the middle of the floor, coffee and water cups all over the gym, refusing to wipe down equipment after using it, getting short with staff now that 100% ID checks are in place, etc. We all paid our membership fees and pay our monthly dues to be there, so Im a bit baffled as to why some individuals act as if theyre to be waited on hand and foot, and in the process, treat other individuals like such rubbish. Again, maybe this is the standard for most country clubs, but I can honestly say this is the only real disappointing factor to the club overall. Otherwise, we are both happy to have it, love the staff and facilities.

I have been a club member at The Country Club of Colorado for nearly 10 years. As a large family of 10, we have found great value in our club membership and without hesitation would recommend CCOC to anyone looking for a meaningful and safe family atmosphere, excellent service, and a great golf experience. My 8 children’s ages vary between 1 and 16 and we can all attest to an overall unbelievable experience for many years. As we sit in very close proximity to the club, our family has been able to use all facets, but just wish that we were more frequently visiting the fitness center. The kids are always looking forward to Spring and Summer activities and our fondest family memories have taken place during the big club parties at the beach, like the Hawaiian Luau, July 4th and Club Birthday Party. The kids love the music, games, kiddie pool and playground and we would not miss these events for anything. A few of the benefits unique to our family are the unparalleled postcard views on the patio for dinner and the ease of getting a tee time. As an avid golfer, I also appreciate a 4 hour round, which the club monitors closely on summer days. My kids are also learning golf and participate in the golf camps, which are led by one of the country’s most renowned instructors, Ann Finke. These intangibles cannot be put in a brochure. Thank you CCOC and staff!!

This place is a disaster! The "country club" of Colorado (I quote jokingly..) has been partially open since the September flooding. My husband and I joined the club a little over a year ago because we were referred by a couple we know. We paid $5500 to join and pay dues of $250 a month for a recreational membership. Since the flooding they have only offered members a 50% discount on monthly dues in return you can use 24 Hour Fitness down the street and swim at the local high school pool. Seriously, this is a country club?!?!? I could pay 24 Hour Fitness $40 for my family and swim at the Y for $40 a month. To top it off since this disaster they have been horrible to their members and extremely rude. The have stopped communication with members or call backs Im assuming because everyone is ill with the situation. If you are looking at this place I would tell you as a member Dont Do It! My family regrets it and Im sure your family will too.

I am a long time Springs resident and have always enjoyed my time at the CCoC, AKA Gates. We joined the club about 10 years ago as recreational members and subsequently upgraded to golf membership. Its a great place for family and the facilities are second to none here in Colorado Springs. The golf course in in beautiful condition and much improved over the past couple of years. They have also update the clubhouse, golf locker room, and fitness center recently. Not sure what the expectations are of some of the others whom have posted poor reviews, but club management has dealt with major flooding issues as best as possible, given the circumstances. As to comments from others about the staff, maybe you get what you give? In my experience, the staff have been very friendly and helpful, even when I have had an issue to be dealt with.

not very impressed. Was brought to play there last summer and then returned this year. Last summer the course was in horrible condition. Just terrible. A dog track. I thought, Ill give it another shot. This year the course was better, much greener, and the greens were better. My problem now is that while the course is in better condition, its still not great by any stretch of the imagination. They charge way to much for what you get.
