The main attraction is the one mile loop that extends from the southern edge of the park, with exercise stations/stops about every 1/8 mile. This path is along the landing lanes for the Oakland Airport and its very common to see various types of planes land every 15 minutes or so (I once saw F-18s land there). If you are a PoGo trainer: plenty of water element rares like Dratini and even Lapras are sighted around this loop with plenty of stops. There is a small jungle gym area with swings and slides for the little ones next to the parking lot and three words everyone likes to hear on hot sunny afternoons: Ice.Cream.Trucks. Additionally, there is a hiking/biking trail along the coast that passes through the entire Hayward shoreline, and eventually takes you to the foot of the San Mateo bridge (thats actually about a 3-4 hour hike on foot, one way). At around 3pm or so (aka. after school), the parking lot of the park tends to fill up and the best place to park is either on the street or towards the north side of the park, next to the boat docks. It has tented BBQ grills for anyone to use, a much larger parking lot, a sanded area for volleyball if you bring your own balls and nets, and a much larger jungle gym for the kids. Across the street from the park is a golf course with a driving range, and a decent sandwich shop. If youre not into sandwiches, follow the road past the Marina Inn and you will see Horatios (a seafood restaurant with a great view of the Marina docks), and El Torito, a Mexican restaurant with a view of the bay towards Candlestick Point in San Francisco.

Too bad this is the only park around here. At least a decent one. I dont count plazas with 4 trees a park. As you might know, it gets pretty crowded here. Especially on weekends and 4th of July, you definitely wanna avoid it then (people having picnics with loud music and tons of kids on the playground). Mornings are quiet, just the regular "clientele" walking and/or running around. People play volleyball and other sports on a very well maintained field. I must say Im surprised theres not more trash laying around, given the amount of people that come here. The staff really seem to take care of that. Apart from that Id say its a good place for running/jogging/reading/sitting/playing... and ice cream! Theres one or two trucks going around every day, so thats taken care of. :) Theres a slight breeze from the Bay and you get some shade in the trees, so you wont get all burned. Not far from it are also a small dog park, restaurant and a golf course. Need more? :)

The Marina is a beaufiul area to relax, have a picnic, play football or soccer. There is a mile long track that extends out with exercise stations set up along the way if you wanted to do more than just a run. If you run the other direction, there is a LONG bike/run trail that reaches all the way to hayward all along the marina. BEAUTIFUL VIEW will running! After a long day at work, this is the spot to clear your head, or blow off some steam with a solid run.

This park is now one of my favorite places to go for a daily run. When the sun sets, Its the most amazing site I ever seen. They also have a dog park area for the dog lovers. They also have a good play ground for the kids. Exercise people, you guys should definitely come here, because along the route you run theres gonna be fun obstacles, for people to mess around with. Great place to do a BBQ, but do expect Sundays to be really packed. Love this place!!!!!

I known this Marina Park since I was a kid or infant, I used to always visit this place on the weekends with my mom and our long-time family friend Chisco we had so much fun back then playing Soccer me and him, feeding bread to the seagulls and pigeons, playing on the swings, and riding bikes, it was the wonderful time and place back then in my early childhood, it was a part of my origins as a little boy

Walkers: Park at the south end of the Marina and then walk further south from there. You will end up in an extensive set of tidal marshes that were once a harbor for the flat bottomed sailing boats that took the vegies to SF (prior to 1975). Bring binoculars if you are at all interested in birds. You can walk about 3 miles south to the treatment plant, which conveniently has another public toilet .

I run here quite often and as of late, they have gotten rid of some nasty smelly shrubs and incorporated some fitness devices at the beginning of the Marina mile. Plenty of seagulls, sea-breeze, and (usually) sunshine to go around for everyone along with water fountains sprinkled around the vicinity! Come here to walk, run, lounge, picnic bbq (reservation required) and enjoy some fresh air!

The best place to take you family and friends for a picnic or an outing. This place is huge. Lots of play structures, bbq areas, lots of pucnic tables, trees, grass areas. A pathway that goes around the outer cove where you can walk by the water or just sit and enjoy the view. Excellent place for family fun..only in San Leandro CA. Eyyyyy baybay!!!

I love this place. There is a great little trail for a run and on the trail there are exercises that you can do to burn some extra calories. There is a large park, plenty of space for throwing a frisbee. Bring family for barbecues or go by yourself and walk along the water, this is a great place to lose yourself.

Many people play Pokemon Go here and parking can be difficult for as long the hype is still around. The park is nice place to have bbq and outdoor events. Large open areas to run around and have fun. It can be quite cold and windy sometimes, especially near the shore so be sure to dress in layers

Parking can be a disaster if you end up going there on Easter weekend. All the little bunnies are out searching for bunny eggs. Otherwise, this is a great place to get some fresh air and exercise with your little furry baby. It gets very windy there, so, bring sunglasses and a windbreaker.

Two play structure areas separated by a huge grassy field, sand volleyball court, two parking lots plus on street parking. Bathroom structures by each playground. Nice walking or jogging path, nice bay views. Dog park separate from people areas.
