I was looking for event spaces in the city and came upon Tank18. I saw from pictures that it was huge with a cool vibe and happen to be having live bands perform that night so I decided to kill two birds with one stone and make a date night out of it also. When walking up to it, I thought it was closed since there were barely any people inside. The decor is cute though and since I did want to find out more about the space, we stayed. We arrived towards the end of the bands performance but from what I heard, it was a pretty decent band (The Cuss). We both ordered a glass of their Zin, which was very good IMHO, while waiting to meet with Patrick. Everyone working there was so nice, helpful, and friendly! Id definitely come back again. As for an event space, Tank18 seems like a great place since they seem to be really accommodating and the space can easily fit 150 people.

Went to a Google City Experts event here last week. The space as a reasonable size located in an out of the way section of SOMA. Nice open warehouse feel with a large bar over on one side. Had a chance to speak to some of the wine sales people as well as the winery owner. Seems they source all there wine from all over California and target the $20 price point. Wine tasted okay, and would make a good table wine, although you could probably get better table wines from some supermarkets for a cheaper price. The Pinot was a little young and fruity and the Chardonnay a little over oaked, but since they will change their wine selection every year, it may be worth checking one year even if you dont like their selections this year.

Tank 18 is a great spot to grab a locally made wine, or even host your next event for 200-300 people. The decor is wine decor chic — green, recycled bottles line the walls and wine barrels pop up and here and there. A large chalkboard wall makes for an awesome in-event feature. We hired The Chalk Chica to come in, who has a good relationship with the venue to create a best of San Francisco map for us. Tank 18 was fantastic in letting her come in earlier and get started in creating our map. The venue staff was great — helping us set up our projector, providing us with everything we needed to throw a fantastic event.

very cool event space - really casual and industrial style. Tank18 specializes in wine filled in metal tanks and does their own bottling on site. came here for a Google City Experts event last week and met one of the owners Cheryln, who was very nice and down to earth. She was telling me about their bottling parties: once a month they host a bottling party, BYOB style (bring your own bottle) and you take home wine for $8! I gotta check this out. The wines are decent, but not out of this world - I preferred their rose and sav blanc to their pinot. the barbera was pretty good too. I want to try more next time!

Tank 18 is kind of a pilgrimage spot for me on BYOB days, when I arrive parched with empty bottles and leave refreshed with my bottles full. On non-event and non-BYOB days, it may be closed. Every time Ive come there has been an interesting food truck parked to the side in Dore and nice sells wafting in. Some BYOB pilgrim groups seem to have come up with a virtuous cycle whereby they replenish, imbibe and again recycle their glass bottles and again imbibe.

Attended an event in here a few days ago. I dont drink so I asked if they have anything non alcoholic. One of the bartender rudely told me to ask another server for some juices that they use for the mix, or just pour myself some water. Bad idea. I wouldnt recommend to my friends that drink about this place. The place itself is quite spacious and nice, but thats all I have to say about it. Most probably I wont be coming back.

This was my first time at Tank18, went there for a City Experts meet and greet gathering. An excellent venue, its a wine bar cum event space. Good decor of course, the venue was cleared of tables but I imagine, regular hours would have a few more standing barrels to rest your glass on. They source their wines from local areas, I tasted their reds from Sacramento, they also sell bottles.

I came here for an event and until then I had no idea that it existed! Such a cool space. The wine was delicious and the servers so knowledgeable and polite! I cant wait to return when theyre open to the public so that I can really see what they are about! Since that even, Ive been thinking about doing something for my birthday there. Its such a great space!

Large open space makes this place especially great for special events. The staff is friendly and unpretentious. The wine list is limited, but I think there is enough selection for everyone to find something appealing. And best of all, its a not-noisy enough place to hang out with friends and participate in a conversation.

我在这里是一个私人活动,所以我的评论有点偏。工作人员是好的,现场是宽敞,非常漂亮,和一个非常方便的位置。如果我喜欢葡萄酒,我可以看到这是一个常规的鬼。

I was here for a special event, so Im not sure what it is like during regular business hours, but the space is pretty open, its got a good vibe and the wine was pretty good. I would definitely recommend checking it out, and Ive definitely made it a goal to go back and try it again during regular hours.

We come for the monthly bottling. It is amazing. Buy a glass at the bar for $10 or fill your own BOTTLE for $8!! Wines are always great, food is always good. Only four stars because it is hard to get a spot to sit and it gets really loud. Come early, order early, and have a great time!!

Tank18 is the perfect place for a big large party. I was there for a Google City Experts event recently and the place felt spacious even with many food vendors and food stations. The place has a cool industrial vibe and it large wine selection.

Really lovely space and the sauvignon blanc was excellent! Would be awesome for a wedding reception. The owner was very accommodating and I was told you could purchase a bottle and then return with the bottle for a refill at a discounted rate.

I was here for a private event so my review is a bit skewed. The staff were nice, the spot is roomy and very pretty, and a very convenient location. If I liked wine I could see this being a regular haunt.

Brilliant concept. Winery in the middle of the city. Great warehouse setting. Come with friends - all their wines cost between $20 - $30. Cheap, but not cheap in taste... My favorite was the Syrah 10

Went here for an event. It is an awesome space that can accommodate quite a few people. There wines were all good. The one flaw, for a space this size, they need more than 1 restroom per gender.
