Yes, not exactly a destination for a daytrip but if you happen to be on the island the building is worth a couple of minutes. Built in 1938 as part of the 1939 World Fair this is referred to as "Modern Style", Art Deco or kinda cool. The lobby has great paintings and photo displays about he history of the man-made island and the awesome Clippers who once were based there (before the island became a Naval base).

Coming to an event here last night was very memorable because of the environment we had at SF Event Venues. Everything about the inside of the building was exquisite and the service was great. It could not have been a better night as they picked the perfect place to host such a successful event! I definitely recommend this place to others to consider.

This place is cold. Bring a jacket! Great view outside of it though.
