Bluxome Street Winery is located in SOMA in a spacious, warehouse like place with several tables and bar seating. You can make reservations but I dont think its necessary. The decor is modern-industrial, though they have several barrels perched inside. The pours are pretty generous and the wines are lighter and tangier. I would highly recommend it to those with a taste for sweeter sauvignon blancs (a glass is only $6!) or pinot noir experts (most popular). They offer a few light bar bites, and some reasonably priced tastings (5 tastes for 15). Great experience, super friendly sommeliers, fun wines you cant really get anywhere else. Its a bit out of the way but I would be back often if I lived in SOMA. Pro-Tip: If you join their wine club you can come in anytime for free tastings and bring up to 3 other people. What a deal!!

Beautiful space, delicious vino and welcoming staff ...all within SF proper. We love this place so much that we decided to host our wedding reception here. I think it was a good venue decision on our end since we love coming back to try Bluxomes new releases or have a glass or two of old favorites. This location has an industrial urban vibe with lofty ceilings and large glass pendant lighting against a backdrop of wine barrels. Its an ideal canvas to dress up or down which provided us with a lot of flexibility when planning the decor/theme for our event. Then again, isnt it obvious that we like this place?

Excellent urban winery! I love the fact that urban wineries even exist (of course they do in SF!) and this one has amazing wine to boot. Get the Syrah. Glasses are reasonably priced, as are tastings. The atmosphere is really chic, too- old-timey decor meets modern minimalism. The entire floor plan is open and you can see the barrels from the tasting room. They have lots of old photos from the area back around the time of the 1906 earthquake, and you can learn a bit about the history of wine in SF just by looking casually at the walls. Great date spot or for anyone interested in wine.

Ive been to this venue twice, once for a good friends wedding, and another time for a Google halloween event. Both times were phenomenal. I love the interior of this event space, very high ceilings, oak barrell/old San Francisco decor. It has all the makings of a classy yet laidback atmosphere. I dont drink (I know, I know, youre shocked and cant imagine why) so I cant really comment on the product of its namesake but I did have a great mixed virgin drink!

Theres a winery in SOMA?!? Yes there is and its wonderful! Off the beaten path but well worth the short walk, this amazing winery in San Francisco has some really great wines! The decor inside is spare yet beautiful with just the right amount of cozy to let you feel relaxed as you enjoy an excellently crafted beverage. With some small bits of food and a succulent wine to pair it with, you just cannot go wrong by coming here!

Hidden gem in SOMA! Definitely wasnt expecting a full blown winery in a random alley. Its cozy and intimate and a great spot for a date or a small group of friends. The people are genuine, friendly, and really passionate about wine. Definite must to check out if you are nearby in town! P.S. There is plenty of metered parking in front, but it should only be 25 cents/hr based on demand.

This winery is tucked away a quiet street in SOMA close to the Caltrain station. The servers here (are they the owners?) are extremely friendly and will sometimes give you a few complimentary pours of wine. The atmosphere is kind of lacking though only because there usually isnt much of a crowd so it can get pretty quiet. Some music might help lighten the place up a bit.

I cant believe how many times Ive passed this winery and not even know it was around! The pinot noir was tasty, not too dry or sweet. It would be a perfect space for a cocktail party or wedding. Parking seemed plentiful (aside from game days) and its within walking distance of public transit -- so drink up!

I attended an event here with a friend. Its a nice venue! I loved the rustic feel and high ceilings. Food trucks parked outside made for a less expensive evening. And, their wine was fantastic! The band playing was kind of loud for talking, but the smaller room with more seating was quieter.

This is our go-to spot to chill with a glass of wine before catching a train at the Caltrain station across the street. In general I much prefer their whites; their pinot noir just doesnt do it for me. The space itself is gorgeous. There are definitely worse ways to spend a few hours.

Came on a Saturday when they were only doing a barrel tasting (I believe it was $15 for 3 wines) - a fun event and good wine for a barrel tasting. Ive had their bottles before at a wine event and loved them. Will definitely return for a regular tasting in the future! Beautiful space.

I love Bluxome - absolutely great space, fantastic wines and awesome service. I tried their tasting flights and really enjoyed all the wines. My favorite was the chardonnay, which I need to find in stores! The service was also really helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Attended a pre-wedding event here last week and I loved it! On Fridays during the summer they have a food truck event with live music. Was a large space but it felt intimate at the same time. I definitely will be returning soon!

Beautiful open space with great wine. If you want to go somewhere for a drink after work that is not crowded, this is a perfect option. Its only open until 8 on Fridays, so make sure you get there early enough to enjoy a glass.

A beautiful venue, large and spacious, with a tasting room and parklet out front for vino al fresco. Hold an event here or just go for a tasting. I loved the lighting and decor in particular and cant wait to go back.

Cool place with decent wines. They make the wines themselves from grapes they get from others (I think) but their tasting flights are great value and the place is a big open warehouse style for hanging out.

I really enjoyed the russian river sauvignon blanc. The wine has a crisp, light bodied with a fruity after taste. The environment is really spacious and roomy. Staff are knowledgeable and very cool!

Nice place to enjoy some really good wine. Right next door youll find an indoor gourmet market. I like S&S spices, chocolates, biscotti, but thats just the stuff I remember.

Great hidden gem of SOMA. Dont forget to check their schedule for live music — great acoustics too. The evening I was there they had a pizza food truck outside.

Cool wine bar / wine-making business. Enough room in the back to host large events, and the street parking is actually fairly easy (a rarity in San Francisco!)

Wish there were more places like this in SoMa. Love how this end of town is developing. A taste of Napa/Sonoma in San Francisco. And the 2011 Pinot is great.
