Every time I have been here this place has ROCKED. First time I was there I went for a meetup group for professionals, and it was great. 2nd time it was for an art show. Both times all staff were smiling, professional and helpful. And they are so helpful. At the 1st event I left my credit card there. I discovered that i didnt get it when I was a block away from my house in the Ingleside. So I had to BART right back down there. They were closed, so I banged on the window and someone left me in. Everyone was smiling about it, and laughing and joking with me about me leaving the card. Not in a mean way, but a nice way. They were really cool and made me feel so much better about the whole situation. The clientele of this place too is usually quite classy, full of nice people that look like they would be really great to meet and hang with on occasion. I hope to have many more chances to go to events being held there in the future!

Very small art gallery in an alley that one would pass by if you didnt know where it was. Went there on a Flashback 90s Saturday night to check out the vibe and crowd and didnt hate the experience. Was on guestlist and still paid a very cheap $5. The main room with the bar was small and congested when the venue filled. The 2nd room wasnt opened til later on in the night which lead to a decent amount of room on the dance floor in either room. Decent music was played of old memories and songs that everyone could definitely sing and dance along to. A large majority of guys who looking to show their moves to the old songs via break and hip hop. No dress code enforced was a disappointment as the venue is an art gallery. Would go back with my girlfriend for a not so crowded place, but definitely would hit up a bigger venue if I was looking to party hard and meet a ton of people.

My company held a large happy hour here and I was quite impressed with the venue. Inside was nice and elegant, due to the fact that art was hung on all the wall. Plus it was nice how we had a completely exclusive room. Our entrance was actually around the corner from the main entrance which was nice because it kept random people out. This worked very well for the company sponsored event, but if it was a public event I bet I would not have liked the venue. As for the food that was served... It was trash. I actually found out how much it cost and was shocked. I would never order catered food here if I was throwing the event. The bar the great though, and the bartenders were very attentive. I would be more that happy to go back for a firm event but thats it

This gallery has a nice set of revolving art and some permanent installation pieces. The integration to the bar(s) and coffee pop up (red door, serving Four Barrel) is a trendy and popular place to visit. For coffee: Come before 8:30am to find shorter lines and more time to enjoy the artistic ambience. If you are in need of coffee, you can search for the link to their current webcam and see the size of the line and insure you can get your coffee, toast, or donuts without delay. In the evening: The venue is often reserved for private events and not open to the public. Do not be dissuaded. Come back when it is open and you will find two well stocked bars. This is a favored happy hour spot in this neighborhood.

If you have love for ART and MUSIC....plus, sippin on some good cocktails while mingling with a diverse crowd, then youve gone to the right place. This is one of my favorite spots to hit up in the city. Best times are Wednesdays and Fridays for local artistry workshops and/or club events. If you arent feeling the type of music...you can always groove to some elemental hip-hop, funk, and jazz after 9pm on Fridays. They have a cover charge, depending on what night you plan to attend. Theres always a change of schedule when they book people, so its best to check out their website for more info.

I definitely have a new regular coffee joint. If you want to feel really cool while you drink Fourbarrel coffee (well, cooler than usual), head over to this place. A popular art gallery, 111 Minna just recently started serving coffee and is competing with corner stores and the big guys like Peets and Starbucks. Thing is though that their atmosphere will definitely help them hold their ground. Filled with awesome art and located in downtown SoMa, its refreshing to have a coffee joint with a community feel. The staff is super friendly and major props to them for using Strauss milk.

Old School. One of the originals. I cant believe you guys are still putting on Qool! I went to my first Qool I think in 1992 and youre still keeping it real. I love that Minna keeps things changing while keeping it the same. ;-) New art, new events, and always chill and happy. I threw a holiday party here in 2006 for a corporate RE office. Roys catered. Minna threw down...they helped set it up (free), they djd, they went shopping for premium sake and set up a sake bar for us. Thanks Minna. I hope youre still here when Im 80.

Great event space near downtown with two separate rooms, each with a bar and plenty of space for a moderate to large crowd. I have been here on a few occasions and it has always been a good time. They layout allows for plenty of people without being overcrowded and with 2 decent sized bars, it makes getting drinks easy. The art on the walls and throughout has always been interesting and the decor in general is warm and well done. Great event space.

This is an interesting space. It looks quite small, but can actually fit quite a large amount of people. I attended a Casual Connect Pocket Gamer Mixer here, and there were at least 200 people at one point, and the area didnt feel too packed. There is also a nice bar area, in addition to a stage, that allow for presentations, panels, and performances. The art is also great-- particularly in the bathroom. Its definitely a cute spot!

Superb coffee, even better setting. A very SF style cool and hip coffee shop/bar located in an art gallery. The art changes every couple of weeks as they host different events in the evenings for the artist of choice. The coffee is great and its such a good place for a meeting as there is so much to take in if you are waiting. I havent had a cocktail here but they always look pretty great.

111 minna st. is a very artistic place. the atmosphere is more like a social club set in a museum. the lighting is a bit bright for my tastes especially to shine on the art displays. the dance floor is rather small so not much dancing can be done. there are two bars to get drinks from but it does get extremely crowded. overall it is a nice place to hang out and socialize.
