This Place is amazing. To enjoy the preserve you must first accept reality, it is a very popular area, which means you will encounter a lot of adventures on its trails, specially on weekends and late afternoons. Once you accept this, this place is marvelous. Etiwanda Preserve has well travelled trails that are clear, you should not get lost here. For being so close to our city, it provides a good taste of what our local mountains offer, waterfalls, creeks, lush vegetation, open spaces, wildlife, and best of all tranquility. During good winters the two creeks that flow through the preserve get plenty of water in spring providing with a beautiful waterfall and plenty of water to take good photos by. If you manage to find your way to the end of the trail on the NW side of the preserve you are treated to a little treasure that not many ever get to see because they dont stray from the loop trail. if you manage to find your way to the end of the trail you will fall even more in love with this place because it gives you a glimpse into the past and our towns beginning. Of course i will not give it away, if you need to know, get a pair of your best buddies go on a hike and find out first hand. Sad to say this place just burned down.

Its great to walk around, you can spend the whole day on different paths. Its not particularly rigorous in most sections and I see all kinds of people from young kids to older folk. Waterfall down the main path. For the more adventurous you can keep going past the waterfall area, following the stream, for a good long while. There are more waterfalls and climbing opportunities there too. I recommend bringing pants and long socks for this area. If you start heading east from the parking area on etiwanda you can follow that to the water overflow channel and go up to the water management areas. There are places of historical significance there too.

Great hike to the right for the waterfall to the left to day creek, both hikes can be done in half a day. Last time I was up the trail leading to the waterfall My favorite alter rock was blasted with spray paint claiming it was the artists rock, name and all in red paint; Sorry SOB ruined what I had taken pictures of back when the park was opened. I wish I could give picture it truly is a very cool picture, the rock, the back ground and my Alsop ski pole planted into the dirt in front of it, now its a mess.

Nice little walk. Pretty easy all in all. After the first water fall, the hike continues to another, bigger water fall, at that point, youll have to do a bit of rock climbing and the trail goes on. It is over grown but worth it. It will end suddenly with high walls on either side. Nice to get out of the city and to see some running water and trees. Also the informational pavilion is a little dirty but a nice touch. Ill definitely do it again

Great spot for incline hiking training. Theres a couple main trails that lead to Etiwanda Falls (just keep to right & keep climbing, ull eventually hear the water) when half way up theres a trail that branches off the the left (incline training) & wraps around to starting point. If ur new here, wear good hiking boots or trail stick due to excessive loose rocks. On hot days over 100° recommend lots of water. The views are so worth it.

I love it for its simple accessibility. There are many places that have better trees, scenery. But the view, and the waterfall in the back. Now those I love. There is graffiti in some places which is sad, but I think its still a great place to go, and it doesnt take away from the view of the city.

Nice short hike but the trail could be conditioned a bit more. The rocks along the trail make ankle sprains a risk. I like the falls at the end of the trail but the drought has been very tough on Southern California and it really shows over here. What once were falls are now just a trickle

It says NO DOGS ALLOWED and Id like people to honor it. Why? There was too much dog crap to have to smell and walk around on the trail last night. In addition, if youre gonna smoke, please keep it to yourself and not smoke where people have to deal with it. Thanks.

Nice distance and elevation for beginners. Kid friendly. The shaded spring/waterfall at the top is a nice payoff. There is a second waterfall further back about five mins. Go early, going up the terrain is all open with no shade. Coming down is a breeze.

The area is really nice, and has really great reviews.. you can park and Overlook The View. I have come up here a couple times just for my quiet time. Usually not too crowded and enough people where you feel safe

Great hike. Lots of other people on weekends. Which is good for safety. Rancho PD is up there throughout the day ensuring safety of people and cars. Ample parking.

If you can get through the blasting 3/4 mile of no shade & dusty heat, youll find many surprises at the top that will make you want to hike on for days :)

Good local trail with a lot of room to go beyond the standard trail. Lots of cool stuff. Losing one point for the excessive rattlesnake population

Awesome hike, be prepared for a bumpy walk though. And four stars because people need to learn to OBEY the RULES! NO DOGS ALLOWED!

A good place to just get away from the hum-buzz of everyday life. Sometimes you can see deer and snakes. Bring your own water!
