The owner and tour guide was a very rude man. He made it clear that he resented us being there (his paying customers) with comments and degradations all along. He was intolerant of children. When my four year old daughter innocently asked if she could pet the zebras, he gruffly said to her, "If you want to lose your fingers. This isnt a petting zoo!" He made crude comments about the male animals sexuality and complained about how one zebra was still nursing because she is "too old for that," and he kept yelling at her about it. Our questions were met will short replies in a tone implying we were stupid for asking. I wondered that anyone would ever return there, but then I realized that people probably dont. Its not the kind of place you go to twice. Also, he said that his wife was better with the kids, so perhaps not everyone has to deal with this crass man when they go if they got his wife as a guide instead. The animals seems to be well cared for and treated. It was fun to see them, and despite his claim that "its not a petting zoo," we got to feed and pet the beautiful giraffes.

This was an awesome experience. The lady that gave the tour was knowledgable and pleasant. This is a farm turned into a preserve, so it looks and feels like a farm. The animals are not pets or zoo creatures, so they can be a little timid, but we didnt have any problems other than they wouldnt come up real close, or pose pretty for a picture (but I got some). We were given carrots to give to the giraffes, and as long as you had some to give, they were like your best friend, but when the carrots are gone, so are they. It was exciting to pet the giraffes. I learned a lot about endangered animals.

B. Bryan Preserve is the most amazing place Ive ever been. I had the best experience here and I am planning another trip to come back. Judy and Frank are such kind people and what they have done and continue to do for these animals is incredible. I highly recommend staying at the preserve and going on the tour. Everyone is very professional and welcoming. While I was staying in the Bridge Cottage zebras ran across the bridge and it was an such an amazing experience I will never forget. Thanks Judy and Frank!

Awesome experience!!! My wife and I had a blast!! I made the mistake of kneeling down to take a photo which made the animals jump up and run - dont do that!! They thought I was a lion in hunting mode. Friendly knowledgeable staff, cool 1973 Land Rovers, and awesome animals. Dont be afraid to kiss the giraffe!! I did a few times!! There was also a 5 day old zebra named Patty which was neat to see even from a distance. Great fun for all ages, family, friends, or love birds.

We stayed over memorial day weekend and had an amazing time. Did multiple tours, stayed in the beautiful and cozy Bridge Cottage, and enjoyed the hottub. The owners Judy and Frank are so sweet and love these animals. The tours were informative, entertaining, and an absolute blast. HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. Telling all my friends to come out and experience it.

It was a cool experience, lots of great pictures and information. I would not recommend bringing any kids along as the tour guide seemed to resent all kids on the trip, and was even rude to people asking questions. It is not a petting zoo, dont expect to come close to anything but a giraffe. Overall, its a cool thing to see and I am glad I did it, but I wouldnt go a second time.

We love animals and were shocked to be "greeted" by several mounted animal-head trophies. Be prepared for that. Perhap other tour guides are more enthusiastic or informed, but ours didnt teach us much about the animals or give much history. However, the intimate, extended time with the giraffes at the tours end was simply and exquisitely magical..

Tip: A hidden California gem that is a more intimate and preservation focused facility than any zoo. While zebras and antelopes are also on the property, the giraffes are the star attraction and the feeding experience allows for a closer interaction than any place Ive been to. Highly recommended for giraffe fans.

The tour lasted about 1-2 hours from start to finish and was totally worth it. The variety of animals and ride in vintage Land Rovers adds to the safari feel. If available, make sure to feed the giraffe from your mouth...it will change your life : )

Awesome experience visiting here, feeding the giraffes was the coolest. Fun riding around in the old land rovers the scenery almost makes you feel like your on the African plains. Ill be back to this place, my daughter loved it.

Our family had a wonderful experience. The ride in the old Land Over was a bit awkward as we couldnt always see the animals as our backs were to the views. The information was super. Best part of course was feeding the giraffes.

We had a great time on the preserve, the kids really did love seeing the zebras and giraffes. It was a bit confusing finding the place, as the gate caught us off guard. It was well worth the time to be kisses by a giraffe.

Make reservations and go here. Just do it. Great kid-friendly animal experience, ESPECIALLY the Giraffe feeding. Totally intimate experience where you are up close to these gentle giants.

We did get to pet the giraffes. Overall it was a nice experience, and I admire the work being done there. I was hesitant to spend the money but glad I did-I love supporting such causes.

Tour is a little short for what I expected, but the giraffes revived the experience. Dont expect to see a ton of animals. Still very much worth the experience!

Really nice tour through their well maintained grounds. Learned a lot about how endangered giraffes are. Really cool to hand feed them.

Simple with several species of antelope, zebra an giraffe. You get to feed the giraffes. I prefer that over a zoo.
