This is a great short course. For the most part, youre hitting off grass (except for the mat tee boxes) since they do a pretty good job of course maintenance. Great for beginner players as there isnt a lot of water or huge sand traps. You can get through the course pretty quickly so you dont have to spend 4+ hours at the course. May want to purchase a tee adapter from them for $2 so that you can use your tees on the par 4s. My wife is a beginner and has enjoyed learning to play golf on this course.

Tried to play a few holes with a friend and at 6:15 they told me that we couldnt take a cart out after 6pm because of the issues with people drinking and driving. Im just a couple months out from three surgeries on my foot and cant walk the hills here. The manager was a total jerk to us and couldnt care less. This place is a sort of a dump but its close and I remember it being fun in the past. Never again. Only thing the place has going for it is Steve Carfano.

I didnt think the staff was rude. I enjoyed my round of golf there. Still, there are a few issues: The tees are mats. They DO NOT take credit cards. Its at the end of an airport runway. The greens were ok but the fairways need some work. If you work near John Wayne (Orange County) Airport, then its a good place to hit a bucket of balls during lunch or, if youre lucky, get 9 holes in after work. (Its lighted.)

Great Staff and Store, for 18 holes, par 4 course, I always have fun playing, weekdays are the best, you can take your time playing, and practice, practice, practice, for a course that is 3200 yards +-, it always makes for a great walk with your pals. sometimes I hit the water, and I think I re-purchaced some of my own balls, LOL Love the course - Armando

Newport Beach is okay. The only things that I have to say about it is that the greens and fairways are in really bad shape. The greens have bald spots on them and the grass is a hair too long. The bunkers barely have sand in them. I also dont really like crossing the road after hole no.2. Overall, the course was ok but it needs a little TLC.

Driving range has had a complete make over and is just beautiful!!! Greens are the best I have seen in years past. Price is still great, and the pro shop has more than any other by far with the most friendly and knowledgeable staff available. Kudos to the new owners and staff. We are all loving it!!!

This course is cool for a kickback round with friends. You teeoff plastic Mats but they did renovate them so they are much better. The fairways need some love but the greens are in great shape. Still a tad pricey if you want to just play 9 holes. The driving range looms really nice now.

Had a softball banquet for Newport harbor there. Food was fajitas, beans were bland, carne asada and chicken were both horrible. Worst part was dishes and silverware were dirty and they acted like I was crazy when I asked if they were clean. It was a terrible event space

Best deal in the area for a relaxed 9 hole round on a weekday after work. The bar serves the best tacos and Sameer will make sure your drinks are strong enough to make you forget the missed birdies and even the balls lost on the water (not safe to try to retrieve)...

This course has been severely neglected. "Cow pasture" or "Weed patch" are good descriptions. They have rubber mats for tee off, however they do not supply the rubber tees. The best I can say is its a good course for beginners or chipping and putting practice.

When you think of Newport Beach, you dont think of this place. Driving range is about all I can do here. Hitting off the mats at each hole just seems a little wrong right?! The grounds are somewhat kept up but CA is in a drought so dont expect too much.

Great Place for beginner golfers .. if youre looking for a par 72 challenging course dont play here .. leave this course to the people that need to play/practice ,, I have played here lots and my expectations are always met.

Decent range, open late, but the bar closes at 5? I couldnt fun any posted hours, only informed of the hours when I opened the door. The rude woman inside wouldnt even look at me and was hesitant to tell me the hours. Nice.

Best place for a begginer fun little par 3 course. Love this place. Good atmosphere and not intimidating for first time golfers. Good range and theres a mini roger dunn find some good clubs for cheap there.

This is a great par 3 course. Seems there is new management and the greens are starting to come around. if you need a local, reasonable price practice course, this is the spot.
