Upon my visit to the winery, I was impressed with the scenery as well as the curteous and knowledgeable staff. The wine was impressive, so I decided to order some online the next day as a gift. Like other online purchases I make, I expected information on the tracking information for the wine, as the staff made it a point to emphasize that someone must be home upon the delivery of the product to sign as it is refrigerated. Delivery was promised within 1-2 weeks and after a week and a half, I decided to call the business office to confirm that my order was on its way. The lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and mentioned that someone made an error and transcribed my zip code incorrectly, but promised to correct this with the delivery company and send me all the information in an email. Im a busy person, so when I noticed that I never received the tracking email as promised, I called back the next weekday. Another kind staff member gave me the information that I needed and I brushed off the first error. Now, I am dealing with the delivery company who state that the address they received is cities away and Im having to sort this out myself (and keep having to make arrangements to have this package signed for). Long story short, I dont have my wine that I ordered and this could have been avoided had the staff correctly input my delivery information. 2 stars are allocated to balance out the kind staff, though.

We arrived at same time as 35 person tour. We had no appointment but were warmly received and given to great lady, Karen, I believe, who gave us a wonderful tasting and explanation of their wines. She wasnt pushy and took her time with each wine, commenting on our observations, and explaining the progression from reds to whites to dessert wines, using our preferences as a guide, but building on that to introduce us to a wine we might not have tried but liked or might look into further. She explained their sensible wine club policy which we are going to join once we finish our current stash from them! We really loved their Rose and bought an extra bottle which we shared while watching the Pacific from our balcony in Gold Beach, Oregon. Yum! Not sure I would have liked being a part of a large tour. This was intimate and so enjoyable! What more could one ask?

Madonna Estate is a really cute family-run winery in Napa Valley. You get a guided tour of the winery and you get to taste the wine, while learning about the wine making process and the different types of grape. The family is very knowledgeable and make it a fun and interesting experience. I really like the fact they dont mass produce the wine and are fully organic. The wine isnt very cheap, but its not every day you get to visit a quality winery, so its definitely worth getting a bottle or two to take back and impress your friends with. If Im every in California again, I will definitely go back!

After visiting Domaine Carneros and Artesa nearby, I found this experience to be lacking. With cheap $5 tastings and quick/small pours it was more like a pit stop. Perhaps it was because our visit was later in the evening, but the wines were poured fast, just stating the name of them. We werent given the thought out descriptions, how they are prepared, or any additional info about them. Sure, the folks were kind, but the wines merit strong presentation to enjoy them to their fullest. Coupled with the shallow amount given, we were ready for the next one fast. We were in and out in 25mins.

My all time favorite winery in Napa! I have been a wine member for years and the Bartolucci family has always been welcoming when we visit. I recently went back to Napa for my honeymoon and as soon as they found out I was a member for years, they broke out the vintage wine for me and my wife. The estate pinot noir is epic! I love their chardonnay and they always have a wonderful Halloween release. A must visit for the story of the winery alone. If you want to support great wine and independent wineries, this is your place. Family owned.

We are given a very convincing and professional introduction of how their wines are made. Very transparent comparison of their materials and processes applied. You get to see the actual barrels were other wineries may not show you. More importantly, they show the very basic technique to assess and taste wines. They also sell unique wine openers that enables you to show off on parties. They have plenty of wines for you to sample. We toured total three wineries in a day. This one provides the most of fun and knowledge.

Drove up to winery at 4:40 pm to buy two bottles of wine. Knocked on door because it was locked but could see a tasting was going on. Clerk looked at me and gestured at her watch. I held up two fingers meaning a request to buy 2 bottles, speaking loudly on outside of door. Clerk ignored me over 5 minutes meanwhile giving a tasting to a customer in front of her. Terrible customer service to close 20 minutes early.

Great family winery, which is becoming so rare now in Napa. Organically grown grapes, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a LOT of varietals to choose from. Love their gusty, earthy Pinot Noir.

Visited winery on a tour from San Fran. The wine was good but nothing to write home about. We loved the tour guide. She was very informative and fun. She had great wine drinking tips.

This was the best learning experience out of all of our wine tasting!! We found the Madonna wine cheaper at The Yountville grocery store!

Low key. Not commercially developed as many others so dont expect a shopping mall or five star experience. Its all about the wine.
