Our first impression driving up to their tasting room ... is something right out of " Deliverance " . Just for that experience you may be up for the challenge.. Their wines are not impressive in the slightest. Having driven from San Benito and looping around wine tasting we caught sight of a " A " frame sign saying wine tasting.. so our curiosity got the best of us. It is as if all the wines were either left out in the sun for days and days .. or the corks never got a proper seal... I would love to believe that it was some outside element that ruined every bottle other than the wine maker having not quite gotten the art of winemaking yet... but it could be just that simple .... $5 per person and 20+ dollars a bottle .. we were also told that their prices of 20-30 were already at a 25% discount.... OK ? wow lucky us to have only spent 10 bucks ... We fortunately went straight to Guglielmos tasting room ( very nice ) and got the taste out of our mouths.... Nope ! Never again... :)

Our experience was just like Mark Rogers experience - down to the "Deliverance" reference. I was actually humming the "Dueling Banjos" music while we drove up to the wine tasting room. We thought there might be something in the soil that made the wines all taste "off". Or maybe the grapes were picked too soon or...God knows. We were really hoping the wines would get better as we moved on down the list, but no such luck. We wont be back. Sorry Ross Winery - you might want to have someone come in to advise you on how to fix the problem(s). Good luck!
