This preserve just opened last weekend (6/27/15). We arrived around 8am on a weekday and it was mostly empty. New restroom (vault toilet) was OK, parking seemed sufficient. Trail was new, fairly well made with bridges across seasonal creeks/washes. The main negative was the fertilizer stench from the nearby agriculture when on the valley-floor sections near the parking lot. It seemed to dissipate by the end of our 2-hour, 4-mile loop hike. Views are primarily of the valley area to the north and east of the preserve. Only saw one bit of wildlife: a deer resting under some trees. Hopefully this preserve will improve with time. A few more trails would be a good next step.

This is a nice park near Morgan Hill, and just 30 minutes or so from downtown San Jose (with good traffic). The preserve opened in June 2015 and features a 4-mile loop for hikers, bikers, and horse riders. Despite the relatively short total length of the trail, its hilly nature makes up in climbs for what it lacks in distance. The preserve also offers the usual amenities found in other Open Space Preserves (parking lot, bathrooms, park benches). In addition to that, theres also a parking lot dedicated to people with equestrian trailers, and some picnic spots along the trail. Admission is free.

Great park in winters after heavy rains. You get to see many many many small creatures in the water collected. Once its spring this place is in full bloom with the fields next to it with mustards and poppys. Great park to hike in winter season

Went on a nice 4 mile hike yesterday on the Arrowhead Loop. It was a wildlife tracking hike with Green Foothills. Nice space, trails look like they be a pretty fun loop for mountain bikes too.

Good place to get in a quick walk or hike and good nature photo opportunities. No potable water available, so bring your own. Restroom located in parking lot is kept up nicely.
