The pro shop has a pretty good selection of balls, an the 2 guys that work there for sure know about bowling, so they can offer you very knowledgeable advice on which ball to get based on your throw style. As far as the lanes, your typical lane conditions, depends when in the day you arrive will determine the amount of oil on the lanes. I bowl all around the states do to my traveling job and I can say this, even though this place would be considered my home court, I always do my worst here, not sure what that could mean. As far as the people who bowl here, its your typical bunch of people who dont know bowling etiquette, but I deal with that at almost every alley I go too.

If an 80 year mama, grandmother can have fun, so why dont you have a little more in fun. The workers are really nice, they are helpful, look at them smile, that should make you want to smile and enjoy what life we have. Thank you JESUS! And you can eat, work those muscles, laugh and enjoy your life. It doesnt cost much, come on down before 5pm Monday through Friday for $17.95 an hour and have some fun. We will see you there. That is why I love Mchenry Bowl.

Well if you plan on coming here for a good time with drinking involved DONT! They will call the police who will then wait outside for you to leave! Regardless of how long its been (around 2 hours) on top of that they the police will continue to stare at you while watching someone smoke dope not even 100 feet away!

We love McHenry Bowl! We recently moved to the area from the Bay. We were looking for a good family friendly activity place, that wouldnt break the bank. The staff here are awesome! They are all so very helpful, and always excited to see our family. We enjoy coming here so much that we have joined 2 leagues.

The quality of the bowling lanes and bowling balls are the best. This is perhaps the best bowling alley in Modesto, CA. The customer service and food was average. The parking was not good due to the popularity of this place. If you are looking for a family atmosphere, it is best to come earlier in the day.

My friends and I went to this bowling alley. It was our first time, so we were kind of lost but everyone there was nice when we asked them how it worked. We went at midnight and they had the glow in the dark bowling alleys and just amazing! So based on that, it was a great experience for a first timer!

A great family friendly location!! Good promotions and specials! League play is challenging and fun. Bar is well appointed and staffed with good people. Indoor smoking room so no standing in the rain and cold. Vapor in smoke room only. Tell em Jon and Kathy sent you in, and behave yourself =^D

We come here every Sunday for bowling and drinks and its been nothing short of amazing the staff its all very friendly and the pizza its some of the best pizza around. If you go here and have a problem with their service its probably because youre a douche

Place can be a good place to take your family. Typical bowling place like others. The street behind it has a lot of drug, crime, gang activity so occasionally it spills over to the bowling ally. Security guards in parking lot.

I really like this place. Sunday morning bowling is very reasonable and they really do have excellent pizza, as good as Round Tables! I think the staff is very courteous and friendly.
