Nice oasis in the city. Parking is $6 and if you have kids you will want to park in the first lot on the left so you can walk through to the Los Gatos park which has a notable playground featuring a fire truck and jet - They also charge $6 for parking but if you have a season pass with the park district it pays to just walk over the bridge from here. The playgrounds in Oak Meadow are good, they lack noon shade and can be quite crowded (though not as much as the adjacent Los Gatos owned playground). Access to the lake is great they have paddle and sailboats for rent, Great place to have a party-they allow beer and wine! Lots of trails for bicyclists and peds. Parking is plentiful. Buy a park district pass and it pays for itself in a few visits. If you live nearby you should have visited or plan to soon.

This park is really big, it has a beautiful Creek that leads to Vasona Lake, where you can do boating. There are couple of flat trails that you can hike or bike, along the creek. Inside the park, they have many picnic benches, play structures. The weekend we went they were birthday parties, engagement parties. They have a carousel and toy train ride, each costs $2 per person, theres a small snack shack next to these rides. The only disappointment is the parking. For the size of the park, the parking space is limited and charge $6. When we went we couldnt find a spot. We parked in the street adjacent to the park.

Came here with a friend since we had some time to burn and wanted to hang out at a park. Parking is apparently $6, but there wasnt anyone at the booth, so we just drove in and parked. Park itself was pretty clean and well-maintained. The model airplane was closed, which was a bit disappointing, so we spent some time on the swings and took a walk around the park. The park also has a train ride, but we missed the last ride by 10min. Overall, one of the coolest parks Ive been to. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely gorgeous park... had a beautiful playground..a train that offers rides through the park. ....trails for hiking and biking. It has a concession stand that sells food and yummy treats. Theres a beautiful crystal clear stream with small waterfalls. Lots of open space for flying kites or tossing a football or Frisbee. You can park in the park or on the street ...both free. It was my first visit to this park and i absolutely fell in love with it.

Beautiful park!! Plenty of fields to run around in, large play area with swings, slides, jungle gym, and old plane and fire truck to climb all over. Great place for kids of all ages. At far side of park is carousel and 1/3 scale miniature train you can ride on for $2 a ticket. The park has peaceful trails you can walk along a small river, however bikes often race along these paths and can be dangerous for small children.

Fun park! We went here for a birthday party and everything was clean and there was plenty of space. A nice variety of facilities and plenty of clean restrooms. My only complaint was that parking was pretty difficult. The train seemed pretty fun too, although we didnt ride it.

Amazing local park that has lots of space even when it gets crowded! Big open grass areas, tables for picnics and BBQ pits, lots of trees for shade, and fun playground and swings for the kids. Pretty much cant go wrong, with the only drawback being parking when it gets busy

The regular $2 train and carousel are the best features for this park! Its a pity that park close at sunset so you have to leave before the parking gate close. However, there are many parking space around the outer border of the park as well.

Parking can be a challenge but dont mind paying the parking fee when necessary, my tot enjoys the train ride and carousel rides and scooting along the very large park. Its great for families to enjoy. We love their Christmas lights as well

The kids love the playground there with the airplane. The park is nice to have a picnic to or have a walk around and even go to the Vasona Park. The 2 parks are connected to each other. The parking fee is $6.

Great park for toddlers on up. Very little shade during the summer so thats the only downer. Lots of grass area to picnic or play. They have a large gazebo/stage where there are performances in the summer.

I love this park for my kids. There is a train ride and Mary-go-round. Both cheap ($2 I think) The playground is large and there is a large grassy area for picnics. Parking was $6 (I think)

Kids love playing here. Its good spot for family picnic. Train and carousal rides are center attraction. 6$ parking fees if you park inside, but there is lot of parking available along road.

Thats an amazing park for kids. Kids love to play with Airplane and Fire Truck. Nice spot for younger kids. They can safely ride bicycle as well while you were doing picnic.

Good luck parking on the weekends. I only go for our once a year company party. The park is huge but the parking is small and expensive. Tough on our lower level employees.

Multiple slides for kids of all ages. Great airplane and fire truck and train for kids to play with. Nice park for pretty much everything you want to do in a park.

Very nice park. Good for kids. Railroad and old trainer plane are special attractions. Parking can be difficult at peak times. There is some street parking.

This is a great park and the kids love it!! My Granddaughter absolutely loved visiting Oak Meadow Park and trying out each of the amusements.

I love the playground and large green fields. Also, you can pay to go over the Billy Jones wildcat railroad or the carousel ($2/person ages 3+)

Great place to be with your kids or pets. This park is huge and has little train for your little ones to have fun. It is also ideal for a jog.

Nice park. But the parking lot is small for the number of people there. The walk from Vasona Lake Lots is not short.
