This is a wonderful gem that Id have never known about if I hadnt just been looking for green patches (parks) on Google Maps. I decided to go there one afternoon just to check it out as Maps showed it was quite big. I do studying at libraries, and coffee shops, but a 15 to 30 minute walk to one of a handful of benches, or tables on a hill at the park gives me just enough cell service to get an internet connection for my laptop. Bring a lunch, a few snacks, and something to drink, and I can stay their for the afternoon working away in piece. And when Im done, I can go snap some pictures, or just hike about. There are a number of trails, and a small lake/pond in the middle. In the spring there are green fields, and later in the year the usual California golden dead grass. Either time of year is nice there as you are hard pressed to hear any traffic noise from I-80, or run into a group of people larger than two. It is a sun-up/sun-down open/close park. And outside of the parking lot there is a strict no parking before 8am, nor after 8pm. So this could cause some problems for those twilight photographers. The cost is about $3 per person, or $19 for a semi-annual pass. It is electronic pay so you can use your credit/debit car if you want. Also, dont forget to keep the receipt/pass with you as the sign says. No need to have anything in your car window. The only complaint I have about the park is that it could use a few more trail maps (though I know this is uncommon for most parks like this). Other than that this is a great place to spend the afternoon.

I know you see all these 5 star ratings on this. The reason I give it 2 stars is simply due to the fact that you must pay to hike and that they went in and modified it heavily from its natural state. I mean, it looks like a man-made nature place now (wood walkways at the pond, metal gates everywhere, paved trails...). There is also housing butted against the back (or front depending on which direction youre coming from). This makes no sense to me as I just moved here from Colorado a few months ago and never had to pay any where just to hike. I used to come here years and years ago and simply went in, did my hiking, and left. Now you have to pay? The people I talk to about this say, "Well someone has to pay for the clean up and upkeep etc." I personally think that is exactly what taxes are for... The greed level in California, a blue state, astounds me to no end. You have to pay for every single thing here. Bridge tolls that amount to millions/day for "upkeep" One of the highest gas prices in the US Ridiculously high housing Extra money at gas stations just to use your card Pay just to enjoy nature and walk around I could keep going all day on this list.

This park is a gem in the area. Its not very well known so only expect to see the occasional walker by. The area is surprisingly expansive with a lake, cave, trails, and plenty of little places to get lost. There are park benches and tables around the lake and a public restroom nearby as well. My favorite part is how hilly the region is and how dense and open the park feels. Overall its my favorite local park to have some adventures in.

Such an amazing hike .. i loved it. Pretty much covered like half the park. Theres a three dollar per person fee.. but i saw many people not paying. No one was there to check either. The pond was dry but did manage to see the lake which is full but drying... o guess best time to go is around winter or spring. Saw the cave was amazing ...did hike all the way up ...awesome. it is an amazing place for hiking.

Ideally located and easily reached, this park full of amazing hiking trails is a hidden gem in the heart of Solano County. The trail system throughout this regional park will fit needs from hiker, or mountain biker, to trail run enthusiast. The shared trails are full of beauty, shade (often a missing point in the beautiful hills of Solano County), and fantastic hill training.

This is an absolute gorgeous place to go hiking, ride your bike, go for a jog, or just simply taken all of Natures Beauty. This is Miles and Miles of gorgeous acreage in the Hills of Fairfield. When you get to the top you can look out and see all of the landscape below and the cows grazing. It is gorgeous. If youre lucky youll even be able to find the cave way at the top. :-)

Make sure you bring your ticket with because the volunteer hikers are pretty rude when they ask you. Makes you feel youre unwanted. :( Besides that the view was beautiful and the hike was awesome. Plus they love their moutian bikes theres a maintenance station to fix your bike. THAT WAS SUPER COOL. but i will come again. Thank you

Great park for hiking with family, especially if you have children. Our children have also come here on field trips through school. In addition to family hiked, my husband bikes the trails. Amazing park right in our own back yard.

Great place to hike the dogs and go mountain biking! But beware, both do not mix well. Keep an eye on your dog because the bikes are moving fast and may not see them! Beautiful views and a parking lot!

Awesome place to hike or mountain bike. Excellent trails and plenty of hills to climb depending on the route you take. Large rock faxes, etc. Theres nothing else like this in the area. Cool place!

Beautiful park in the winter/spring, tons of hiking and mountain bike trails. You could spend the majority of a day finding new loops, each area has something unique and interesting.

Very nice park. If you just want to get away from it all and enjoy a nature walk, maybe sit at a table under a tree and have a picnic, this is a great place for it.
