They have tarantulas there too and I couldnt help but notice in one of the Tarantulas substrate had nematodes (mites) in its enclosure. I brought it to the attention of one of the workers who is oblivious to tarantula husbandry. He said it was not a big deal and that they were springtails LOL springtails do not look like that. then he told me not mess with the tarantulas. Every time I visit their store I always spot at least two things wrong with their tarantulas in their they have the wrong substrate, not enough substrate wrong humidity etc. I thought that their bad reviews about reptiles were enough but I was certainly wrong that they cant take care of tarantulas either. I purchased a king baboon and it died a week later from mites stay away from this place like the plague do not buy from this store

Master Disaster

I have been going to this place for years and have watched it change owners. The current owner is a down to earth knowledgable guy. However, the kids that work there are annoying know it alls who will make up an answer on the fly instead of saying they dont know. Also, with the exception of 1 of the workers there that is always doing the grunt work the rest stand around and are rude. If you come in 30 minutes before they close expect to be hassled and reminded every 5 minutes that they will be closing soon. I have been an aquarist when most of those kids were still in diapers so it is annoying when they spew bs out of their mouths instead of saying, "i dont know, let me go find out". The owner (guy with tattoos) is awesome but his staff sucks.

Be warned!! Would you trust these employees? And what level of experience is this? Saw a fish yesterday, was told it was eating. Went back today, asked to have food put into tank to get the fish out of its hiding rock, and the employee said he couldnt-"the fish was new, and feeding it would STRESS the fish". I said I was told yesterday the fish was eating, and the employee said "well he fed it yesterday". So, "new" fish-but there day before. "Feeding stresses fish-but fed it day before. No stress that time? And in general-feeding a new fish stresses it? If you HAVE TO do business with Fish Pros, and I probably never will again, have your info ahead of time. Who knows what theyll tell you.

Excellent selection of both freshwater and Saltwater fish. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They can be a bit pricey for some types of fish, but theyre worth it. They honor a 7 day return policy for dead fish as long as your water quality is stable and well suited for aquatic life. They also have some pretty cool reptiles. The only complaint I have is their limited selection of supplies.

Friendly staff, always someone around to offer assistance. Most fish looked healthy, although its hard to tell since with the low lighting. Prices ok, about average. Some tanks especially their guppy tank contained fish with ick (would have liked to see a sign saying not for sale).

I have a 6 to 7 inch African Cichlid and a 4 inch one, we went into the store and got a Tiger Oscar. I had no idea if they were friendly together so I asked an employee. he said it should be fine. Two days later after buying my tiger Oscar it was bitten up and missing both of its fins.

love this store. the manager is awesome! super friendly and is willing to help in any way. good selection. some things are cheaper at petsmart but the fish are well cared for and tanks always clean. huge selection of cichlids and nice saltwater fish as well

Theres a great selection of fish at Fish Pros, fresh and salt water. The employees are very nice and they love what they do. Ive always had good experiences with them. Definitely recommend them if youre looking to buy fish or fish supplies!

I love my LFS! Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Healthy, beautiful fish. Great prices. Had some less than favorable experiences here years ago. Stayed away for awhile, but they are far and away better now than back when.
