Go there if you want to pay $20 to hear a sales pitch and get misery-size servings of wine. Visiting a winery is one of the pleasures of travelling in Sonoma county. Its understandable that the proprietors need to charge for the wine tasting, and that they want to use the opportunity to promote their wine. But this winery is clearly looking to skimp on the servings and focus on the sales pitch. The elderly lady who served me focused all her attention on another couple who she thought were more likely to buy large quantities of wine. It is clear that she is on commission, and thus has no interest in serving someone who is not likely to buy cases of wine. She served me barely an ounce of each one of the four wines that I chose. The wine was not that great. The whole experience felt like a rip-off. The grounds are charming.

Had a great visit here. Made reservations online for a cave tour and tasting, which was absolutely worth it. It was just the 3 of us on our tour with an excellent guide. We got to explore some of the vineyards (and taste the delicious grapes), see where sorting and production take place, walk through the beautiful caves, and ended with a lovely tasting of wine, cheese, and charcuterie. We ended up signing up for their wine club and had two of our tasting/tour fees waived. The architecture and history of Clos Pegase are fascinating and Id definitely recommend the cave tour.

We are wine club members here, which tells you how much we love the wines. The sav blanc has amazing vegetable notes, the chardonnay is THE BEST, and their reds never fail. As always, we were impressed to hear about the changes and upgrades that the winery is planning. This visit we booked a cave tasting which we have loved in the past. This time our hostess was Kendall and she was amazing. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and did a great job tailoring our experience since we were return guests. Her passion for wine is obvious! Thanks for a great time, Kendall!

Well this place has changed a lot since I was here last. The art and sculpture garden that used to be such a draw is gone. So the grounds are pretty sterile. They offer two tastings, a $15 and a $30. The Chardonays were pretty big, old school Californian from Carneros with lots of oak. The Pinot Noir was fairly quiet but I liked the Merlot and the Cabernets. Although the Cabs are pretty pricey. The staff was great but a little overwhelmed by the crowd. One of the winemakers assistants was on hand to answer questions and very knowledgable.

I recently visited Clos Pegase and had a great experience. The estate is beautiful and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly; not to mention the wine is spectacular! I even got to take a peek behind the scenes and snap some pictures of the production area. Clos Pegase is a winery that I will visit again and make sure to bring my friends and family!

The well manicured grounds are striking, but the tasting room itself was a bit of a disappointment. The service was a bit spotty, as our wine pourer seemed to be a bit checked out and ready to leave for the day. Wines themselves were ok, nothing really stuck out.

The grounds and tasting room were very airy and open. We were there in the middle of the day on a nice weekend and there were only a couple other groups walking around. I wasnt a fan of the wines or the experience.

Clos Pegase vs Stirling, no contest. Clos Pegase for the win! Amazing grounds, wine and staff. We had a fantastic afternoon with delicious wine and well informed staff. Beautiful, yet personal tasting room.

The tour guide was very rude and provided little. The wines were flat with acidity to them. All of the art has been removed after it was sold to the Chinese.

Amanda was very knowledgable and extremely helpful. Wines were very good. Grounds are contemporary and well maintained. No tour or anything like that.

One of my favorites in the valley. All the wines are dry, and I have consistently enjoyed everything I have tried, from the whites to the reds.

Good wines and pretty grounds. The woman who poured our tasting was extremely unpleasant which took away from our experience.
