Conflict resolved. They refunded the full fee and sent us 6 bottles of wine. DO NOT GET ENGAGED HERE!!!! This place is terrible...my fiance proposed to me here, which was $650. We did not take any photos because they told us they were filming it. We both just learned from their completely incompetent staff, namely GEORG SALZNER and EMMALEE DANIELSEN, that they lost our entire engagement video!!!!!!! What kind of operation does not back up the only footage of a once in a lifetime event??!! Apparently this completely inept venue. I contacted both GEORG SALZNER and EMMALEE DANIELSEN for some kind of compensation. Instead, all they did was refund us for the video portion of the engagement. I have emailed them 6 times now, and their response was for us to come back for a free wine tasting and re-do of pictures.... Im sorry, but would you go back to the place that lost all your engagement footage, only for them to make more errors and continue to disrespect your time? Would you take hours out of your day to go back to this winery, spend MORE MONEY on completely incompetent staff, and expect somehow, that you would get magical results? Im no bridezilla... I havent set a date or picked a venue or literally made any decision since my engagement (on September 10th)... but I do not like it when people do not respect me or my time. I emailed them that they should send my fiance and I a case of wine... to which EMMALEE DANIELSEN laughed on the phone and then referred me to GEORG SALZNER who never emailed me back... this is after 5 back-and-forth emails with EMMALEE DANIELSON. Please do not come here if you want to remember a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Thanks to the incompetent staff at Castello di Amorosa, my fiance have zero footage of these priceless memories. Thanks to GEORG SALZNER and EMMALEE DANIELSEN, my fiance and I have a very bad impression of this winery. Do yourself, and your future fiance, a favor, and DO NOT GET ENGAGED HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

We LOVED everything about Castello di Amorosa! Upon arriving, the picturesque entrance with the castle in the foreground is simply gorgeous. It is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills, rows of manicured grapevines and a shady forested area good for a picnic to one side. As we were about to enter the castle itself, we were greeted by one of two residential cats. A sweet gray tabby...that was a pleasant surprise! We were also greeted by a few goats and a pig in a pen on one side of the castle grounds. They were being corralled to the other side of the castle. The stairway entrance and drawbridge are not only beautiful, but a nice spot for picture ops. Everything about this castle is outstanding, from the architect of the building to the doors and beautiful hardware all around, the friendly staff, our knowledgeable tour guide, Anthony and the delicious wine of course! We took the Cheese & Wine tour and it was quite impressive! Not only were we able to tour the upper level rooms, but also the massive very well organized and pristine Wine Cellar that was labyrinth-like beneath the castle. We learned a lot about the whole Wine-making process and found out theres way more to the science than one would think. We also got to taste a sample directly from one of the barrels kept in a cellar room. Very rich and aromatic. With this tour we had a private tasting of six wines paired with six cheeses. Every subsequent wine we tasted seemed to taste better than the prior...Lol Afterwards, we purchased an "After Dinner" wine, "IL PASSITO" 2010 and the awesome dark salted chocolates sold at their beautiful store. Overall Id say we had a great visit! We honestly couldnt find one thing wrong with this gorgeous place...it was Awesome!!! Definitely recommend as it does not disappoint!

I hate to give such a bad rating, but I really didnt enjoy my time here. We had just came from Sterling Vineyards down the street, which I thought was so much better. We arrived to this really cool castle setting. The guy directs us to park against the grassy area. He directs the next guy to park so close to our rental. I was so thankful the guy in the car was very careful not hitting us. We walk up to the castle, which had an incredible view. As you walk up, there are farm animals around like goats and roosters. It was cool. We finally get up to the tour area, where we can pay for our experience. Since the place was so busy, I felt like this took away from the experience itself. We went downstairs to the gift shop, where I purchased some things for my family. Someone greeted us in the gift shop, and guided us to our tasting area. The wine tasting area was in this dark cave-like setting almost. It was really neat. However, there are no chairs, so you are standing the entire time. Like you are just standing against this bar. I felt like wine tasting took forever too. They kept switching the attendants, so it just took forever between each tasting. We got to taste five different wines, but probably could have cut a total of 30 minutes of just waiting for a new person to help us out. When we walked around, it was hard to tell what was going on. Like each room was cool, but again it was so busy. For you to just stand there and take in the cool surroundings, it wasnt happening. I think if they were a little more organized, it could have really changed my experience.

In the vast Napa region of wineries comes a castle hidden away in the hills. This is probably one of the most beautifully unique winery in Napa! Amazing place, feels like medevil times! My only gripe about this place is that it is so expensive even if youre not a wine drinker. It took some contemplating but I paid the ticket price since it is a one time thing. The castle is fairly big that youll spend a few hours here if you are interested in doing photo shoots. You have a couple places to go to such as the courtyard, barrel room, terrace, towers, gift shop, dining room and then you got the exterior! It is a beautiful place that you can enjoy the day in. Id say if you are in Napa make sure you have a couple hours over here because once it gets to closing time then you got closures and roped off areas to thwart people from wandering during closing time. The gift shop is kind of expensive as is most of the wineries in the Napa area, so be prepared to depart with your green money friend! Good news for non drinkers, there is the only non alcoholic drink here in all of Napa so even if you dont drink they give you some of that grape goodness! It costs $13.95 per bottle. Then dont forget you have the outskirts of the castle where it is totally free to walk around for those of you that do not like the ticket price! The only reason why I would suggest this place because it is so different from every other winery here

Castle of Love...in the sky. A delightful fantasy, rich in textile applications. A feeling of old and modern. Or old carefully crammed and situated into the modern with a quick brush of paint. A NAPA Disney.. Or dizzy if you find yourself down in the catacombs alone, say with ..JOE K. our tour guide, bring your ear plugs and some roller skates! Joe did not only make jokes, point his finger at you when he thought you should take a picture of your spouse, or how he owned his fat and the rest belonged to the bank, he SPOKE so LOUDLY it was seriously deafening!!! Slowly, as I tried to siphon this groveling & grating voice in small increments, he seemed to get louder!! Especially when we hit the basement with the echo bouncing off the 15th century bricks. At one point I thought I would either lay a brick...or throw one at him. But we liked him...until we were rushed through that TOUR like cattle! He reminded us 25 times he had to leave promptly this being his last tour. This was also PRICEY...of course it was...and we were hoping to get a little vino and relax a little. That was just it--TOO LITTLE! Thank Goodness I had my blue ticket or he said he would kill me. Beware of ANXIOUS TOUR GUIDE! I think I would of liked it if I could actually relax and take pictures and......oh yes...enjoy myself....oh yeah, that. I love the magic of the place...and yet something is missing......the soul of it.
