Excellent experience! Great atmosphere (one of the main reasons to come here) as you get to experience film in an older style setting, but with updated seats and amenities. The second reason to come here is... the beer. If you love to watch movies, but love those movies even more with a tasty beverage on hand... this is the place to go. Shoot -- they even still have a balcony!! How many new theaters today have a balcony? So... the location is great (sans parking), the staff is great, and being able to sip on a beverage is certainly an added plus and makes even the worst flicks tolerable. The one gripe I have about this place is that they dont really have any automation built into their ordering system. You basically have to fill out a large card (in the dark) stating what you want, and how much you want... and then you have to calculate the cost and insert the correct cash or a credit card. You fold the card and stick it in a slot and wait for one of the staff members to notice... and thats the problem. One night my brother-in-law and I waited for a half hour without any staff coming by, so we just made the trip downstairs ourselves. On another visit, the staff was right on top of things and spotted the cards right away. If they had a wireless "ringer" system (where you just punch a "call button" and the staff knows exactly where to go) it would run much smoother. Until then, I can handle a few hit-or-misses since this is such a great place to watch movies. Prices are great as well, which I cant say for other theaters.

I left my glasses a the theater tonight and I couldnt talk to a real person to help me. Just a womans voice which sounded like a Stepford Wife kept telling me again again what my options were for movies. The movie was great as were all the other REAL people working there. But come on now, cant you have another option?? Like for left coats or forgotten glasses??

Nice theatre. Small. Cramped. Staff was polite but spacey like the area. Worst part was their decision to use soybean flavored oil instead of butter. Thank you for forcing me to be a vegan and thank you for the GMO. They serve hot dogs but cant get real butter for popcorn. Another Humboldt fail. Butter is healthier than soy ever will be.

Normally have a good experience here. Recently had to get up and walk to concessions to order food / drinks one hour and 15 minutes into the film. Understandable when they are busy, but perplexing when there were only 4 customers at that particular screening. I would have ordered more if someone had only asked.

I drive here from Eureka because its authentic movie theater from an age when TV wasnt king. They have a great staff doing their best and yummy selections for treats! You get way more than just popcorn. You can order wraps, and even kombucha! Highly recommended.

This is the only place to see a movie in Humboldt. Tasty treats or fine brews swiftly brought to your table while you recline in the most comfortable theatre seats anywhere. New projection and sound equipment make this a cinephiles treat.

Makes going to the movies fun again. Couldnt be happier to see the Minor Theater back open. Seats, screen, projector, and sound are all excellent... oh, and did I mention you can order beer and pizza from the comfort of your seat?

Pretty neat little cinema. Its quite an old one and that definitely adds to the atmosphere and general vibe of this place, which I like a lot. Dont go here expecting IMAX or anything like that, but for me thats not an issue at all.

Recently remodeled- a tad more expensive than a normal movie theater, but the service and experience is worth it for a treat. New seating with personal tables, alcohol and food available. Attentive staff and beautiful decor.

Staff is friendly and helpful. They now have beer , wine, and some mixed drinks. The theaters have spacious and comfortable seating. Slightly expensive. They usually play 2 movies at a time for a couple of weeks at a time

I love what they did with the place! Its a little annoying that servers walk past you during the movie, and that you hear everyones food wrappers being handled, but the seats are spacious and they serve beer now :)

Great local hometown feel from the past. Small concession stand with the old time feel, makes this a great place to see movies. Pretty personal, and not too crowded most of the time make a convenient movie theater.

Love the new upgrades. Its not the best when you are in the smaller theater and a big movie is playing in the main theater because it could be some time before you get any food service.
