This is in the train depot that still services amtrak. 1 large room with 3 different miniature train setups. All 3 different. One has a scale miniature of Kingman where the museum is. Freight trains go past on a regular basis which is very cool. The entry room has lots of pictures and artifacts from railroad history and the counter you pay at is the original. The hallway near the restrooms has some wonderful photos taken over the years by one of the members of the railroad history group that keeps this museum going. Lovely people there more than happy to answer questions and Lorraine even gave me some travel tips. Only $2 admission. I was by myself but I think kids would love it. Model trains (including thomas the tank engine inside, and if you are there more than a half hour, real trains going by right outside

We love our local train museum. Its affordable and a great escape from our Arizona temperatures. They have 3 seperate tracks for R/C trains to run, each with different scenery. My kids love playing on the train tables & the scavenger hunt. Worth a stop in your travels on Route 66!

Nice little model train museum in a nicely refurbished depot. Three layouts (HO, N and S). $2 fee. Layouts are the King,an area and all were running. Good for a few minutes visit.

What a gem! The staff was welcoming and passionate about trains! My kids had the best time. The guys working on the trains answered every question they had.

A great addition for Kingman. Great for any age train lover, my only wish is that it was bigger, but they do a great job for the availabe space.
