For the last eleven years, I have lived a majority of my life on the road as a touring musician. I have seen my fair share of hotels and hotel rooms. On Sunday night, after a long day of travel (including an impromptu hospital visit for one of our guys -- hes okay), my bandmates and I finally arrived in Reading, PA. We were graciously put up at the Doubletree by our host, WEEU 830, as we had a radio performance the very next day. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the most genuine, friendly welcome. We even had somewhat of a security problem that was handled with strength and grace. it was late; we were hungry, so we trudged to the bar and were able to order food and drink. Chris was our server and remembered all of our names. Our food was delicious and served very quickly, despite the fact the restaurant was almost closed. The next day, after our performance, I was in need of a fax machine. Thats right: a FAX MACHINE. (Who faxes anything anymore?!) Furthermore, I had to fax a 78 -page (!!!!) document. Braxton handled it like a champ. No questions asked, no problem. Several of us headed out for dinner, and again, the Doubletree went out of their way to assist us in transportation. On our way back, we noticed several employees hanging out on their break. Its just so rare to see co-workers genuinely enjoying one another, especially working at a hotel (no offense)! I told them they were the best staff we had encountered in a long time. And they smiled and said, "Were family!" Its no wonder the Doubletree has such a high rating. I am really thankful I had the opportunity to stay two nights there! Thank you, WEEU 830, and thank you, Doubletree! We hope to return!

Amazing!!!!! We just got married last weekend and had our reception at the hotel! We CANNOT say enough about the professionalism of the staff (Margaret, Maritza, Shani at the front desk, Miguel in the banquet area, Dwayne from room service, etc etc)! From the 1st day my husband walked into the hotel to see if we could book the venue, we were given 5 star service! Our wedding reception was absolutely awesome!!! Mr. Poole had guaranteed it would be wonderful and it was beyond wonderful!!! The food was served hot and every one of our 240 guests commented on how exceptional the food tasted!! We would also like to comment on the rooms. We were in a suite and of course it was beautiful....so much so that my husband and I stayed 3 nights rather than 2. However all my wedding guests who had rooms (about 10 total) said they thought the rooms were exceptional and enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning! Though words just do not seem quite enough we want to thank all the staff at the DoubleTree in Reading for making our dream wedding/reception come true!!!! You are definitely providing service and an experience that will help put the city of Reading back to the grandeur it so deserves!!! Carlos & Jennifer

I was there with friends for a concert at the Santander Arena which happens to be a across the street from the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel Reading. The upbeat atmosphere inside the bar area was a surprise and this is where I spent 2 hours before the concert. The only negative thing I would say is I ordered a double captain and coke for 8. I know how to tip accordingly; therefore, I would say my 10 drink was well worth it because they were potent. I should also mention this hotel is where most performers stay and they were hanging out for a couple hours before the show. In fact I had a chance to smoke with one of the artists. I wont mention who it was out of respect but we definitely had a good laugh talking about fame and all that comes with it. I mentioned that its across the street from the venue, well, if you dont know the Reading area, that is a good thing I can assure you. Ultimately, if you are attending an event at the Santander Arena or just have time to kill you, will want to take advantage of the bar inside the DoubleTree Hilton in Reading, PA provided you want that sort of thing of course.

I will start off by saying that I never leave online reviews but the serviced my group received at this Double Tree went above and beyond. We were traveling to Reading for a college conference meet and our original hotel reservation got messed up and it left us scrambling two days before we were supposed to leave. Not only was Double Tree able to fit our group of 70 into their hotel last minute but they were able to meet the price our group needed and accommodate all of our needs. Not one employee seemed to be in a bad mood and you could tell they genuinely loved their jobs. Every person greeted you with a smile and wanted your our stay to be comfortable. Also, best hotel breakfast I have every had! It was great for our team to be able to come down and eat at what ever time is convenient to them and know that there were options for every person on our team. I know breakfast isnt complimentary but it was spectacular that we were able to get that as part of our group package. Truly one of the best hotels I have ever been in.

The hotel is beautiful and for the most part the customer service was wonderful. However we were disappointed with the hotels lack of follow through when dealing with a complaint. When we booked our reservation we put in a special request to have items delivered to the room prior to our arrival. When we checked in and inquired if this was done Steve the manager said he believed it was. Upon arriving to the room we immediately recognized our request had not been fulfilled. We called down to the front desk and Steve said it would be taking care of immediately. After waiting a half an hour wait staff arrived to our door with some of the items we requested. When we inquired about the rest of the items. He said they would send those up as well needless to say we never received those items and no one followed back up with us after we inquired for a third time. Highly dissatisfied with that portion of the service. We will be calling customer service to make a formal complaint.

The staff is extremely friendly! We stayed for 5 days and me and my husband are frequent travelers of any state ( thats our peace we love seeing new places and new people) ..we were greated as soon as we walked in and in our room we ordered room service which was soooo delish!!!! We ordered the wings and lobster mac n cheese which did not dissapoint! And a side note we ordered at almost 11 and the staff still delivered! Sweet! The room was extra clean and very quiet and has the function of remote control curtains (nice gesture) We checked out the restaurant as well where we met "Dee" the hostess she is very fun friendly and funny!! Throughout our stay she always greated us and talked to us.... This is our 54 hotel we have visited in the US and this is top 5 for us! We will be back! Thank you Dee Waiter Adam the bartender man and everyone who simply just said hi! the janitor is wonderfull as well You cannot find a better staff! 5 stars is not enough for this place!
