Very very disappointed...had a group get together to celebrate a birthday- what more can you ask for than an 80s "cosmic" bowling night!!!! Besides the website that advertised "Thursday_ 80s Night" and the signs posted ALL AROUND the actual establishment (which was the decision factor from downtown or the Meadows), upon entering, we were informed that it was 90s night and if we had a problem with that (and we told him- the self-proclaimed owner) we could take it up with the DJ...which we did. The DJ kindly informed us that they were looking for a "younger crowd" ( I guess late 30s with some income may be too much for them) and were playing 90s to attract that. Granted- maybe if we werent greeted with such an attuitude and a bit more "open_mindedness" the experience would be far better...but between the entry tude and having to reset our game over and over and over again to get the pins and game back on track, maybe the Meadows wouldve been a better option for a slow thursday night. by the way- even the 90s music was HORRIBLE. Have to give kudos to the kind lady behind the reister and shoes that seemed to be doing it all! You were worthy of at least one, if not 2 of the star rating!

If you value customer service, even mediocre customer service, do NOT bowl here. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. After bowling one game, the worker insisted my group had underpaid him. From the moment he approached us about this issue he was rude and inconsiderate. He refused to explain anything to us. He called me a liar and made up a fake story about what had happened. My group and I obviously had no intention of trying to weasel a free game out of this place (we had no problem with paying the disputed $18). No one should treat a customer, or a fellow human being for that matter, the way he treated us. I have never asked to speak to a manager but this was too much even for me. We asked to speak to the manager at 9 PM and when he didnt come over we asked again at 10 PM. Finally at 10:30 PM, as we were leaving, the manager finally came over. He apologized and gave us free bowling certificates. Too little, too late. I will NEVER bowl here again and it is 100% because of this employees attitude.

Unless you show up right when the facility opens, dont expect to get a lane. We tried two times on a Saturday Night. Went in at 7pm, we were told they have to "kick everyone out" at 8 to get ready for all night bowling which started at 9. We asked if we could reserve a lane for 9, then was told its really a hassle but if you come right at 9 we will have something for you. We cant back in right before 9 and was told sorry sold out until midnight. REALLY? What a waste of time! The staff werent friendly or professional either. Third time I have tried to walk in to bowl on a weekend and failed every time. Spend your time somewhere else.

The only good thing about this place is the conditioning of the lanes. Thats about it. Ball return is often faulty. The staff is very rude and downright incompetant when it comes to running the business. Dont bother being attracted by the "specials" advertised as usually the place is so busy that you have to reserve a lane or wait hours. Place also has weird rules like you cant buy a pitcher of beer unless youre in a league? Never heard of this anywhere.

LOVE IT! Ive been going there for about a year or so and I dont know why anyone would EVER say the staff is rude!! John normally works the door during the week and hes awesome. So is the woman bartender on Wed and Thursday! The shoe rental is only $3 and the beer is cheaper than any bar on Southside. I love going there its tons of fun! They have great djs and fun raffle games, Ive never had a bad time!

The lanes are good, along with their drink prices. The problem is that they will run "nightly promotions" but let people reserve the lanes for outrageous fees and not end up even running the promotion, such as the Friday night "all you can bowl" thing. The bowling alley staff itself is also very rude. It is a shame because I really love this beautiful old bowling alley.

Best bowling alley ever! Has an awesome speakeasy feel to it. The bartenders make solid drinks and the prices are on point. I am shocked about the negative reviews pertaining to the staff I always find them to be friendly and down to earth. The lanes are old school and I never have any issues, in fact they have some of the fastest ball returns I have ever seen.

Went there with my friend. The lanes were pretty good, sometimes the machine that keeps score did not work correctly. The pizza was good and they actually had a bowling shoe my size. The workers are pretty nice, and I will definitely go back. The only thing that I found a bit odd was that their back rooms have walls that look like they have 60s carpet on them. :/

This place is kinda dated and the staff is quite umpleasant. They do not seem happy to be here and when you talk to them you get the feeling that you are bothering them. There seem to be a serious budget issue in this place. Next time, I will definitely go bowling somewhere else.

The staff is incredibly rude as so many other reviewers have posted. Went for unlimited bowling until midnight on a Friday and had the lanes shut down at 11:45. Then we had the staff come out from behind the shoe counter and scream at us to leave at 11:55. I will never be back.

Always a great time at this bowling alley. Tuesdays are the favorite because the drinks are cheap and it is college night. The only bad thing is they play soft rock 80s music on a college night which doesnt make sense but the bar, staff, and lanes are very enjoyable!

Very rude staff. Im even in their leagues, and they treat us extremely poorly. Whether were there for leagues, or just for fun, we get the same sorry service. The overpriced beer, $4.25 shoe rental, and horrible music didnt help either. Wont be bowling there again.

A great bowling alley with a really cool atmosphere. The bar is well-stocked and their weeknight bowling deals are fantastic! Check out college night on Tuesdays for cheap bowling and beer, or all-you-can-bowl on Wednesdays (including live music).

Nice bowling alley, but no food or drinks sold before 4:30, at least during the week for walk-ins. We saw others with fountain drinks, but we were told no. Guy at the desk is a bit surly, but the owner is nice. Alley 13 hard to slide on.

This place us old and gross. I made the mistake of wearing their rental shoes, they looked 30 years old. Wish Pittsburgh had a newer bowling alley that didnt feel like I was a character in a 60s slasher film when I was there.
