Weve stayed on this farm for a long weekend and loved everything about it! Weve stayed in the room 3 in the farmhouse. It was spacious, very clean, cute, quiet, free wi-fi, view of the cows in the meadow. The breakfast was large and very tasty-everything comes from the farm or the neighboring farms. The breakfast is in the dinning room with the family and other guests. The hosts and employees are very nice, friendly, and unassuming; you are basically left alone to explore the farm which i loved. The farm is full of animals-mostly cows and cats, but they also have goats, pigs, chickens, and a friendly boarder collie dog. Weve walked around the farm, played fetch with the dog Scooby, petted many cats ( i counted 15!) and looked at the cows. Weve also taken the farm tour, which i highly recommend. You get to learn how the farm is run, about the farmhouses and the animals, plus weve bottle fed the calfs, tried milking a cow and searched for eggs in the chicken coup. There are many local attractions located near the farm such as the Strasburg railroad, the Amish farm, buggy rides, and a few good restaurant and a supermarket. Overall, it is a great place to relax, recharge and get in touch with nature and animals. I highly recommend it.

This was such a fun place to stay! My 4 year old son enjoyed learning how to milk the cows and goat, bottle feeding the calves, seeing a hen lay an egg, and feeding the animals. My (somewhat prissy) 8 year old daughter enjoyed playing with the cats and kittens and Scooby the dog . Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful (the blueberry coffee cake and homemade yogurt and granola were my top favorites). It is in a great central location for taking day trips, within an hour or two of Hershey, Pottsville (yeungling brewery), Easton (Crayola experience and Martin guitar factory), Turkey Hill experience in Columbia and Hanover (Utz and Snyder factory tours). Very convenient to Dutch Wonderland, Lancaster (took the train into Philadelphia one day), and of course beautiful Amish country scenery. We stayed in rooms 4 and 5, and they were very comfortable. I would love to come back when my kids are a little older and take a soap making or cheese making tour

Girl Scout Weekend! We rented the whole front house and couldnt have been happier. We had 7 girls and 5 adults and there was plenty of room for all of to sleep, bathrooms and room for us to eat and have fun. This house has a backyard swing set and a fire pit. We went to the farm Saturday morning and feed the animals and milked a cow and had a wonderful breakfast at the main farm house. We went on buggy rides at Abes Buggy rides and came back to the farm and made ice cream and the girls got to be with the animals again. Seriously the best ice cream any of us has ever eaten. The next morning we also were able to feed the animals. The Ranck Family gave all of us a memory we will never forget !!

We arrived late to our rooms but the hosts still provided us the necessary information to access our rooms. We had no issues finding anything. The room was very nice clean tastefully decorated and inviting. The beds were very comfy and warm. We slept very well And loved the details of the old farmhouse. The next morning when we got up to leave we met the hosts as they were outside working in the barn taking care of the farm animals. We were welcomed by the resident dog Scooby to play fetch with him while we bottle feed the calfs. (Which were very cute and interactive) had a great stay all around would definitely stay again & recommend it to anyone who likes a farm/country setting B&B.

We loved our experience visiting the farm. This place is a hidden gem!! The owner is lovely and participated in the tour of the farm. We enjoyed our tour, feeding the cows and calves, visiting the coops and feeding the chickens, milking the cows, playing with Scooby the dog, etc. We look forward to returning to the farm again for a future family vacation. It was fun for the entire family! I highly recommend!

Fantastic breakfast of fresh milk, beef scrapple with honey, yummy egg scramble, delicious muffins and breads, lemony yogurt, fresh diced fruit! Loved seeing all the animals! We take for granted these days to understand what hard work really is and farmers prove it. Lovely people and we loved Scooby and the kitties! They are making beautiful landscape upgrades. Hope to go back soon.

What a great experience we had at Verdant View Farm. We stood in the Little White House. It was clean, country-style decorated, homey, and comfy. Our children, 7 and 4 years of age, cried when we left. The breakfast is fresh and absolutely delicious. In the three days we were there we developed long-term friendships. I would highly recommend this place and am definitely going back.

We had a perfect day! Took my 10 year old and 13 year old and they havent stopped talking about it! Joanna, our guide, was wonderful! She was patient and kind. We plan on returning next spring (its 6 hours away) and Ive told everyone at work today that if they ever find themselves in the area to make sure to stop in!

Wonderful house. We had the whole house to ourselves though. I think it might be a little inconvenient if there were more than 1 group renting it. I was promised bfast but was later told that no breakfast was available as it was Sabbath. Overall, great house, great farm.. Memorable Experience. Esp for the kids.

Farm house breakfast, good nicely appointed accommodations. Real farming experiences for the rustic and outdoorsy kind. Young and old can enjoy the farming activities like tractor rides, calf feeding, cow milking, etc. Nice price for the stay and Amish neighbors selling their goods for very cheap!!

The breakfast, animals, and farm experience are fantastic. Some of the rooms could use updating but overall very good experience.
