I stopped by this little animal park on my way through the state to see the sloths. I got so excited when I looked them up at our lunch stop because theyre my favorite animal. I made my friend agree to stop. When I got to the park I was a little underwhelmed and fairly disappointed. The sloths had a room that was smaller than my own bedroom. Hardly enough space for them and not enough places to climb. It was a hot day so I understood why most of the animals were sleeping. But many enclosures seemed too small for their housed animals and there was a lot of nasty stagnant water in the enclosures that offered little relief from the 80+ degree weather. I wanted to just hop in those enclosures and drain their ponds and fill them with fresh water. Maybe Im spoiled by the city zoos I frequented as a child in St. Louis and Chicago or by the vast open area for their sloths at the national aquarium in Baltimore... But this place seemed far too small to house animals like the bears, lions, and tigers. Even the birds seemed to be pacing and in poor condition. The animals had little room to run around and some didnt even seem to have fresh, clean water available. It broke my heart! For a place to go and get educated on animals its okay. The staff seemed friendly but a little stand offish and price wasnt too bad to me. $15 seemed fair for the amount of animals we got to see. But they need to work on making the habitats more suitable for their animals, especially in the heat and with so many baby animals there!

Went to Living Treasures yesterday and tho the kids had a great time feeding the animals, the attitudes of the staff and owners were awful. It was our first time visiting and a friend told me to bring baby carrots as that is what is sold in the shop to feed the animals. We didnt know outside food was forbidden. When we got there and the woman at the desk informed us, we said OK and bought 2 bags of ridiculously over priced baby carrots from the shop. Once we got inside the park the owner came up to us and threatened us with a $5,000 fine if we were caught using our forbidden carrots to feed the animals. A while later, this same person came running up to my stroller and snatched the carrot bag up off of the top and then tossed it back down when she realized it was the carrots we bought in their shop and walked away. Luckily she didnt knock anything into the stroller and onto my baby. No apology, just walked away. I then posted about it on their Facebook which was met with an extremely rude reply and then my post was deleted and I was blocked. Completely rude, ridiculous and unprofessional. The animals were fun but the owners of this place are nasty and we will not be back.

We go to Living Treasures Moraine location and have never been disturbed by what we have seen. The animals at Living Treasures have bigger enclosures and are healthier than animals I have seen at most zoos. Living Treasures is ALWAYS working on making enclosures bigger and the fact that the animals can interact with the public is awesome. If people would not be morons and actually feed the animals what you are suppose too, for instance alligators DO NOT eat carrots, but yet do you know how many idiots there are out there who will throw them carrots? I have been there at different feeding times, the animals do get real food so Im not sure what these Living Treasure haters are talking about. I can only assume that they are just idiots. I think Living Treasures is an awesome place and they are doing a great job and will continue to go.

I will NEVER return to this facility and I would not recommend to anyone. My sister and I visited the Moraine location. We went specifically to see the honey badger. He was pacing his enclosure and did not seem to yet be adjusted to this life. I made a comment on a facebook photo that said "he is still pacing :(". This ended up in an online debate between my sister and the animal curator. The end result was my sister and I both being banned and blocked from the facebook page. When I contacted the facility, I received much of the same type of treatment that my sister did. What happened to being able to express an opinion? The ratings are manipulated because if they dont agree with you, they ban you and delete your comment. I hope the animals and staff are treated better than they treat the visitors.

I thought this place would be a good experience for my kids which my kids loved but with me being an animal lover Im going to say I do not think these animals are well taken care of especially when I look at a a horse and see that it has ringworm on its right back leg and hair knoted and not groomed made me very sick to my stomach when feeding the monkeys they seemed very hungry and did not want to feed its baby in other exhibits that you could not feed I see no food in exhibit just water just was wondering if they feed them animals that was in that exhibit second one I have tickets to go back and I will not go back there I will find another place that is like this and see how well taken they are at the other place and there was a kangaroo that have puss coming out of eyes look very sick to me

Living Treasures is a ...treasure! The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The gift shop has a wide variety of souvenirs. The bathrooms are well maintained and there is an indoor area with tables and chairs to let the little ones take a rest. Now the most important part of the zoo...the animals. Peacocks roam around freely. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed feeding the Camels and Goats. I love the Kangaroos and the Zebra. My kids enjoyed the Porcupine, Pigs, Lions, and Goats. The pony rides are an extra treat for the kids too. We had a great day! It was very hot as there is not much shade so make sure to pack your sunblock!

Living treasures has many unique animal encounters. Sometimes you may just see a peacock walking around. The monkey pulling the rope to get food was amazing. Although the amazing encounters they removed me from the park because I brought in carrots which where the same brand "bolthouse farms" baby-cut carrots. The only difference was that our carrots were only $1.89 not $3 if you bought them there and the bag had a ziplock on the top. They could have just taken them from us. They started to yell at us that the animals will get sick and its because of us. They where the same carrots there for they will not get sick.

Great place for the family! Its a lot smaller than a zoo, but larger than a petting zoo. Ive been going here since I was little. Great place for toddlers and younger children. ADVICE: You pay admission (around $15 for adults) and buy a bag of feed or baby carrots. Baby carrots are definitely worth it because ALL animals can eat them, whereas only a few may eat the feed pellets. Its okay to pet almost all of the animals! Dont bring a stroller because most of the walking path is gravel, but DO bring a roll of quarters. Some of the animals have quarter machines to buy food at. I love this park!
