Unless you want to get assaulted youre better off staying home than going to Up and Down on 244 14st and 8th ave. As I was leaving this sad excuse for a club I was forcefully pushed by one of their bouncers on my way out.I didnt think too much of it seeing that it could have been an accident, but then this bigger stronger man grabbed my wrist and threw me across the floor. I dont care how you handle your women back home or what your culture finds acceptable but dont use the same tactics on me. The best part is when I tried to peacefully talk to head of security at the club and asked for the manager they ridiculed me and made me leave when I was calm and collective. As I was leaving I threatened to call NYPD and the jokingly shouted "ha do it". As NYPD arrived and we talked to the head of security they denied there ever being a guy who fit my description. However witnesses can attest to everything that went on. Anyways if youre not looking to get assaulted tonight go to 1 Oak, Phd, whatever just do not for the sake of your life go to Up and Down. I dont think getting NYPD here was enough, I wish I could have done more but since he never really punched me I cant charge him for assault. I hope that in the future that I get punched in the face for NYPD to take this more seriously. I dont wish any bad on anyone, but I was violated and humiliated tonight and that is something that is going to stick with me for the rest of my life. Anyways dont go there if you know whats good for you.

This night club is extremely racist and homophobic if I was able to give this place negative stars I would. My sister and I came here to see a rap artist and was denied entry for being black. We were dressed extremely cute with heels, makeup and designer bags. We were told that the club was " too capacity" while the white girls behind us were handpicked to come inside by the b**** who stood at the door. Can you guess was race she was ? I also witnessed the bouncers beat up two gay guys for not wanting to leave the line. Donot go here unless you like to be embarrassed. I will be taking this further than a review I hope this place closes down.

The club promoters are racists as hell .. Ive never experience flat out "in your face" racism until I came here .. its ran by a uppity class of people who discriminate people of color especially the black woman.. I dont advise coming here unless your 65 and have bleach blonde hair .. and oh theres a promoter name mike hes extremely disrespectful and racist. If I had the choose I would give them negative stars - good day

We were four people willing to pay up to 1-1.5k at the door yet we were still denied entrance. Whether it was because there were guys, minority, no matter what the case is when money comes knocking on a clubs door they should stop being so stuck up about it. Definitely would not recommend. Good luck begging your way at the door even when theres literally no need. Smh

favoritism and very distespectful to customers, waited 45mins to get into club and didnt even get in. They told us we couldnt get in, dont know why. They let other people in that were behind us. They started name calling. Huge altercation for no reason. Terrible seen go to the pub next door 100 times better. I never experienced something like that in my life.

Me and my friend was very excited to visit this club for the 2 Chainz event. It was our first time here. Sad to say, but our experience was terrible. They didnt let us in. Security guy with hair bun said that we need to pay 150$ for every person to get in! This event was totally free! It is super unprofessional. I expected more from this place.

The staff here is incredibly rude and angry. The club is way over-hyped - Id give it a 3/5 max - but nothings worth dealing with the irrational people screaming at you from every direction. I have never heard this many angry orders yelled at people at a club before. Club is not nearly cool enough to be like that

Nice dance club for the younger hip set, which I am not. Still fun to watch. ;-) Staff very courteous and professional. At the coat check they had stationed a very alert staffer with a flashlight who would immediately reconnect patrons with their dropped claim tickets. Nice touch.

Just walked out of that club, all the guys in there were not attractive and were dressed like they were going to the gym with NO DEODERANT. Drinks were way too expensive and tasted like rubbing alcohol. I wish I could give the place 0 stars.

One of the top night clubs in NYC. Not unusual to see celebs here. Line is always held to make you think youre getting into something special. Once I was in, it was somewhat underwhelming. Bottle/Table service is good, though.

Top notch nightclub. Got to see Future and DJ Chase B for a celebrity appearance and performance. Management and the bartenders were great and very friendly. I definitely will be returning and getting bottle service again.

Worst experience ever in a night club in the city. The bouncers put his hands on me for doing absolutely nothing. He treated me like cattle and thats unacceptable. Theres plenty of other places in NYC...just dont bother.

Overpriced, minimum 40 on credit card (they dont tell you that at the door) 60 cover or 270 to get in. The vibe is only good if you have a table and thousands of dollars to spend

Small, racist bar. Security/doormen have "strict" rules for entering if you are a minority. Avoid at all cost, especially since there are much better bars/clubs in the area.

They let people smoke in there. Asked several security to tell smokers to put out their cigarettes and was told no because certain ppl pay a lot to be there.
