My date and I called ahead to see how busy they were. I was told it was walk-in and no wait. We had a drink at the bar, which was no problem and freindly. After about about 15 minutes I asked if they were busy or what, they said no so we finally got a table. We had ordereded our food at the bar. So we werent sure if we got the salad bar with our meal since we hadnt eaten there in years. Finally after a while the waitress said we could go to the salad bar. We went to the salad bar, it looked good except every cracker, to be used for dip, was totaly smashed in the package. So much for any salad bar. When we got back to our table, we still never got a glass of water, which the glasses were extremely dirty anyway. After this, I had said to just put our food in a to go box and we would check out. Then we found out our food was not even started to be prepped. Therefore, another shocker. I told our waitress , to cancel the order and we would check out and just go, which we did. I paid for our bar bill and what was owed. The bar waitress asked what was wrong, which was nice, and I expressed how disappointed we were . No big deal, things happen. Upon getting in our vehicle, we had the waitress yell at us outside in the parking lot that we were lying about service she gave us. I couldnt believe how TACKY it was to have the waitress yell her opinion at us in a parking lot. If she wanted to discuss it, I would have gladly done it in front of management, to see if her tone changed or not! So all around a bad experience. I have eaten there in the past and it had been good then.

The Elmo is classic supper club fare at its best. Good prices and an above average salad bar set it apart. And the old time bands on weekends are a blast from the past.
