Outdated and staff are a**holes. Went for my first night on a Friday night and the first thing I drive up to and see is an old building in the middle of nowhere with a torn up canvas sign with letters that look like theyre straight out of the 80s. Walked in and was amazed to see roughly about 40 people in the club at 10pm on a Friday night. My buddy and I just spent $6 and played pool the rest of the night because we were so bored. Went for my second (and last) time on a Wednesday for college night and got kicked out after taking a breathalyzer test before I could come in and "blew a 0.007"... I was shocked because Im only 19 and I was driving my friend and had absolutely nothing to drink the entire day or night. After being hollered at and told to get the hell out I asked if I could blow again and I miraculously blew a 0.000 about 30 seconds later. Went in, grabbed my buddy and left. Place is a joke, staff are redneck morons, and the atmosphere is outdated to draw in any young crowd for more than about 45 minutes. Not worth the drive at all.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! A friend and I were going out for a simple night on the town. We got to Wild Country and were there for about 10 minutes when we were approached by staff and the person I came with was taken into a separate room. They said since their staff made a mistake and marked my friends hand incorrectly that she would have to take a Breathalyzer or leave. We did nothing wrong and didnt deserve to be treated this way. We decided to leave and wanted a refund and werent given one. They made no effort to be polite or accommodating even though they had made the mistake. I would advise anyone that wants to have a fun night to avoid this place like the plague, especially if youre under 21. Spend your money at a place that appreciates your business.

I have tried going to Wild Country several times because it is close to home. I have gone to a few small clubs with no cover charge and heard much better live music, country! I cannot understand why Wild Country wont try to hire the award winning local group called Hillbilly Authority. They are 10 times better sounding that the bands I have heard at Wild Country. The other thing is they need to get up to date with country dance style. The line dance thing went out with Achy Breaky Heart every where else in the country. It is embarrassing when I have freinds from Texas come to visit and the here that Wild Country is the place in the Midwest. They are shocked when they get there, poor quality live music and no room for anything but the line dancers.

They kicked my friend & I out because I smelt a drink. She swears on her life that she saw me take a drink & refused to breathalize me. So I politely asked someone else if they could please test me & he did. I passed my breathalizer test & proved her wrong. She still says I took a drink even after I passed the test. So they accuse you of stuff you didnt do. So watch out. They asked if I failed am I willing to wait for the cops. I said yes because I know I will pass it & I did. Sorry but they shouldnt go around accusing you of stuff especially after I passed the test. Yes after 5 years of apperently always being right you finally got proven wrong. Get over it

Theres less security at Lambert. Ive never had to empty my pockets before going into a bar. It wasnt a big hassle though, but as we found out later, they couldnt catch everything. As my friends and I were watching the dancing, we started rubbing our eyes and coughing involuntarily. Thinking it was just stuffy, we got some water and returned to our spot. Our symptoms didnt improve, and we noticed that other people were also "crying" for no apparent reason. As it got worse, a bouncer told us that someones pepper spray exploded in her purse, so he opened a side door for people to get fresh air, but no refunds.

Never really had a bad time at Wild Country. Ive been here a couple times over the past year on various nights. The weekends are obviously going to be busier than if you go during the week. Drinks are okay, food was pretty good considering I didnt even realize they had food there until like my third time going there. I personally dont dance but there is always a good crowd on the floor and the music is actually a pretty good variety. All in all, not a bad place to go to it just is a bit of a long drive from where I am located.

If youre from Texas this place will disappoint. Nice place but the music is terrible. All pop country. When. I requested cody johnson. Turnpike Troubadours, or Josh Abbott, not only did they not have ANY but theyve never even heard of them. They charge you a cover to get in, and the drinks are pretty expensive. However its the only Dance Hall close to St. Louis. Call first and make sure the Rocking horse band is not playing. They play way too loud and the music is not very good.

I got nothing but good things to say about the place. Thorough bar/club hospitality; including 3 bars, 1 concession ordering booth, pool tables both upstairs and down stairs, awesome outdoor patio area, and a punching machine. Great crowds, upbeat music, and a very well kept atmosphere. You can usually find me there 1 Friday a month before we make our run to Pops that night.

Nice staff, hot people, but if you arent old enough to drink it gets kinda awkward. Anyway apparently the Bud and Coors is watered down according to Drunk Cowboy #29 (whos counting) who came up to tell me so. The pole dancing contests are a blast however. Just dont be a douche and hog the pole.

The band is horrible & the strip contest is too unorganized. Id rather be dancing.. But not really, because the music sucks.. Just dont go.. Ive been several times & theres fewer and fewer people there each time. Doesnt that say enough? New management, please!

Partly line-dancing bar, part club, Wild Country is a unique experience. Come on a Wednesday and see what the fuss is all about. The line dancing here is extremely simple and after going 3 times, you will know all the dances- so its a great place for beginners.

A cool place full of exciting people. Definitely has its own culture. If youre a newcomer you may feel overwhelmed, especially if you dont know how to line dance. Would like a "free dance" extension to the dance floor, if that makes sense.
