Went to enjoy a beautiful day of golf with the lady friend who does not golf often. Payed the spendy $100.00 for the two of us and carried on to the 1st hole where an employee asked if we were both golfing and stated we needed 2 sets of clubs since we were both golfing. I have never heard of such a ridiculous rule. I stated we would not be golfing and asked if we would get our money back. Employee answered with a snobby response of talk to them at the club house. This was the first and last time I will be setting one foot on this course.

Great staff here, they are courteous and friendly. They all treat you like they want you on their coarse, unlike some other snobby places where they treat you like an outsider. Even the grounds crew are happy to see you out there. And they keep the course in magnificent shape. And the setting is very unique. This is a must golf coarse!

Beautiful, city-owned course that is exceptionally well maintained. And the fees are reasonable. This course dates back to 1892. Rolling hills and tons of mature trees blend with interesting, sometimes tricky greens for a terrific gol expereience.

Golf is getting better since the new management company took over but there is no restaurant. Its too bad because it offers one of the best locations for a restaurant in La Crosse - right at the base of the bluffs.

Average staff, average prices, but a great 18 hole course right in La Crosse. Despite having their driving range closed (2017) for reconstruction this season they have a pretty decent practice area.

Nice course. Seems to be in the middle of some fix ups. Some back nine greens and tee boxes very very dry. Hard to even get a tee in the ground in a couple tee boxes. People were nice as can be.

Wonderful course spoiled by the extremely poor cart paths. Some are so poor as to actually be close to dangerous for carts. They really detract from the other fine aspects of the course.

Beautiful course hat is well maintained. Had a tee time on a Friday at 11 and paid 45 to play 18 with a cart. Was worth the cost!
