This beautiful park was the scene for many Childrens Haven Reunions...Childrens Haven was right on the S River....so many beautiful memories here...my children were introduced to this portion of my life at this park....many should remember Rev and Mrs. (Helen) Temple Goodwin Wheeler and Granny....she played piano...sadly Childrens Haven is no longer...but it gave many of a home we really never had before we went there....when asked what kind of memorial she wanted for herself and Pop, they were Mom and Pop to us...she said all of us their children, were her and Pops memorials....they had one biological son...Arthur...he died many. any years ago. My name is Kerry Ann Huffer Berg,,,, Nee Kay Huffer....I just looked below where I am typing this is on a site that is my sons....small, small world this is:)

Nice park. It needs some updating. This park is highly used by residents and is often cluttered with trash, but the city has recently taken control of the upkeep and Im hoping they will keep it cleaner.

Ive always liked this park for its size and variety. But since the county took it over theres been a significant improvement in the play areas for children with all new equipment installed.

Park,basketball ball court, pool, another park for younger kids. I always had fun going there even at age 14. Love the pavilions for birthday parties or just to hang out too

The pool is clean and the life guards were attentive. My boys had swim lessons here and loved it!
