We played in a tournament here with a full feild of 18 groups. The course stacked us on a total of ten holes and luckily I was in the first hole group. We finished in around four hours but due to the a/b groups the rest of the field took over 6. Most golf courses are happy to have a group on every hole and maybe a couple extras. I will never play in a tournament at this course again. When we finished the food that we paid for was sad to say the least. I have played this course many times and about 40% of that time I finished in the 4 to 4 1/2 hour range and the rest is up to 6 and a half. The course itself is not a bad layout and has some character.

Took approximately 3.5 hours to play 9 holes. Dangerous course due to the fact that the holes are so scrunched together. Balls constantly flying in all directions, people picking up other players balls, etc. Stood on the first tee & watched a redneck try to fight a fat guy with a pull cart. No course marshals or staff members in sight. I get it...its a public course, so you get what you pay for. But as far as public courses go, stay away from this one. Pay a couple extra dollars and find somewhere else to play.

Great course to play during Twilight. Nice and relaxing, with a variety of challenges. Hole 13 is easily my favorite! If you dont land safely, say bye bye to your ball. The young staff that work there are courteous and excellent. Not what youd expect from young whipper snappers. Also, Foleys on the Green is a great 19th hole spot (or a break from the the 1st 9, or a pre-warm up spot). Great selection of food and beers, and the gals that work there provide outstanding service.

Fun if you dont care that much. The range is antiquated with old mats and not that accurate measurements. Course is fun enough, but it isnt very long and the greens are abysmal. Plan on adding an hour to your round time - there were singles, groups of 5, no time management, and it took 3 hours to get through 8 holes! Lots of room for improvement.

I always love playing here. Its probably the most well-maintained municipal course in the area, and the greens fees are always reasonable. Its not the most challenging course, but its always fun and the food at the restaurant is great!

Not sure why it took 3.5 hours to play 9 holes the guy must be a newby! This is a fun place to golf have been going here for years to just g get in a quick game...yes it is public the staff are always nice and friendly!

Course was fun, the older gentleman working the pro shop was horrible to deal. Told customers to be quiet, he didnt want to hear any more from them while trying to give him tee time info.

Best full facility in Tacoma! As a mens club member my review may be biased, but as a Tacoma local all my life I can say there is no better course to learn, hone, and perfect your game.

There are terrible swarms of biting flies on the course in the evenings right now. The golf course staff didnt make any mention of it before teed off. My legs are on fire two days later!
