Seasonal wave pool and open noon to 5 and sometimes evenings. Fee required for pool. Lockers available for rent. Swim lessons in morning for a fee. Rest of park is free. Playground suitable for all ages with enough elements and variety to accommodate a large group. Mot much shade. Skate park and bike trick area, plus large flat grassy area suitable for soccer or frisbee. Restrooms open all year. Small splash area in playground area. Snack bar open when wave pool is open. It serves variety of hotdogs, ice creams, drinks, chips and candy.

Great time to be had with the family. There is a free play area and the pay splash park area. Area is clean and there are plenty of lifeguards on duty. Wave pool is great for older kids and adults but hang on to the little ones. Or just keep them in the kids area for plenty of fun. Bring lots of sunscreen.

Ok. So just blown away. One of the nicest parks I have ever seen. Really mad though that we have nothing even close in other areas like South or East Tacoma. And you cant say Stewart Heights is even close. Just look at Kandle Park playground it is head shoulders waist and ankles above all other parks.

Ive brought my kids to this park many times. There is so much for everyone to do. Field, basketball, skate ramps, spray park, three story play gym, toddler play gym and a wave pool. It shares the parking lot with the police station so its easy to feel safe. And its always kept up and clean.

The wave pool area is really cool! And they have a 1 pool for smaller children, also an activity water area. My kids had a blast! We were there for a Bday party for the first time and we will definitely go back.

The wave pool and splash park are amazing, and a big local gathering place in the summer. Despite the popularity, Ive never had trouble finding a place to sit wehner I take my kids.

This is a great park for kids and adults. The Metropolitan Park District runs a water park here. Theres plenty of playground equipment and a basketball court.
