Think you know Dickens Christmas Carol story? Think again. I just saw Jacob Marleys Christmas Carol at SPT; a refreshing look at the Dickensian tale from the point of view of Marleys Ghost. Once again SPT gives us a production of great quality in an intimate house. Sets are simple, props minimal which strengthens the creative script and highlights the talents of the four actors in multiple roles. Sound and lights help set the mood with the addition of Marleys chains displayed on the back wall. This production is a wonderful way to spotlight versatile talents by a tight cast and crew. Kudos to Keith Dahlgrens direction where expression and body language are used to their fullest to convey Marleys hell and ultimate redemption.

We spent an hour and a half to get there, only to be told that my PREPAID tickets were sold to someone else because we were late. What a HORRIBLE way to treat us. Those tickets were OURS. Then I was told they would not give my money back. WHAT????? Terrible, terrible injustice. Those seats were MINE, paid for in advance. You have no right to sell them again and turn me away. Shame on you for treating someone like that.

Saturday nights rapscallion romp was marvelous to behold. This young cast was amazingly mature. Shana Bestok, in her "Directors Notes," creates a beautiful, authentic path by which to enter the play and the spirit of the actors. Bravo!

I saw The Best Christmas Pageant here with my family and it was an amazing Christmas experience. Great cast with talent. They were able to put on a great play with minimal props that made it feel very "real".

Seen many shows over the years at SPT... recently saw Dickens Christmas Carol and it was good. This is a small intimate space so dont expect big musicals... great venue for smaller professional acts.

The Seattle Public Theatres presentation of Caught was fantastic. The team worked together wonderfully and used the space in a very interesting way to keep the boundaries of the scenes blurry.

This theater is my life. It is an amazing place to work and play. The plays, both mainstage and youth are fabulous, and the overall environment is very welcoming and friendly.

Weve been going to productions at the Bathouse for over 30 years, through various theatre companies. The productions are always great, even in this modest, quirky building.

A gem of a theatre on the shores of Green Lake. Both the mainstage and youth productions are consistently outstanding.

This theater produces shows as good as the REP. I have seen many of their shows, and they are consistently top notch.
