The park is okay, definately a good additin to the waterfront in seattle but the security guard is really nasty. We were sitting at the benches and she kept coming around and staring at the kids. She did not have much to do there - so she kept staring at the kids. My son was playing with the pebbles nearby, then she came and accused him of throwing pebbles. Poor kid, he was just entertainign himself- NOT throwing pebbles ( throwing is defined as hurling in the air- while he was just slidng them on the ground and bench pretending it was Gary- spongebobs pet snail ( well, on that note- who ever saw a flying snail ? ) Anyways this message is a warnng for people going there with kids- she will come and pick on them- she does not have anything else to do. If you see her lurking near your kids, do be watchful- no point having a kid with hurt feelings- bad end to a really nice day at the park. She is in security unifrom so you can find her easily. Perhaps this security guard is rascist and picks on kids who are not white ? And Miss security guard - message for you - chill out ! and do not hurt kids feelings without any good reason. BTW parents are usually responsible for their kids - do not talk to kids directly EVER. I would not want you to be out of your job in this sad economy so I am not making a formal complaint. Take care and do try to be nice.

Talk a walk ladies and gentlemen! Through the path you will find varied art sculptures littered throughout the park and best of all, its all free! If you want to take a family date here or jog then you will enjoy the park. Aside from the sculptures, its not really anything mind blowing or amazing. There can be good photo opportunities but youll probably just spend about 20 or 30 minutes here because once you see most of the sculptures which will lead you down by the piers, there is nothing else really to do. If you do have many places to go, Id suggest doing those over this park honestly.

Great View, So-So Public Art The sculptures range from interesting to uninspiring; but art is extremely subjective, so youll just have to see for yourself, I suppose. Art aside, you do get a great view of the sound and are within walking distance to a beach with some shade. And in my opinion, that is the reason to visit this park. The main area is mostly exposed and can be quite miserable in the summers with the heat; but on a nice overcast day, its a lovely place to go for a walk, especially if you head down to the trail and visit the beach area.

Beautiful views at this open air museum. I wish I could get here during the warmer months. They have concerts on the steps coming into the park. Walking along the water on the edge of the park never gets old. I really do think security needs to be armed here though. The sculptures are modern and meant to be interpreted. I would be surprised if everyone arrives at the same end. Be careful of the "City Dwellers" (People who can still afford to live in Seattle) whizzing by on their backs or out for a run.

Olympic sculpture park is a good place to relax in a sunny day. Pick your favorite book and a bottle of water you can spend whole day there. Its a great place to sit and do nothing and enjoy the beauty of Puget sound. The sculptures is the sculpture park are kind of hidden. You need to find them. The sculptures are very modern. It is a okay tourist destination. After a whole day of visiting space needle, pike place, etc you can enjoy some time relaxing in sculpture park.

My wife and I were pretty unimpressed by the Olympic Sculpture Park. There were very few sculptures and the ones we could find were fairly abstract and, in our opinion, uninteresting. If we had been there to have a picnic, sit by the water, or watch the trains go by then I think we would have enjoyed our visit a lot more. The park is quite lovely for those reasons. Basically, go for the outdoor beauty and not for the art.

In love with this place. Its won awards for being such a unique and innovative park that reimagines what a highway overpass can be. Youll walk through the four main biomes of Washington starting with valleys, then meadows, groves and finally shorelines! Absolutely amazing. If youre visiting the area, you just stop here - its also close to Pike Place Market . The Seattle Waterfront just keeps getting better every year!

A nice park to visit if traveling by yourself like I was or even with kids. Theres some great photos you can take with the Mountains or the space needle. You could finish this place in about 30 minutes if walking slowly and looking at everything. Clean and free bathrooms located in the building. And you can park on the street right next to it, however like most of Seattle, its $4 an hour to park.

Erwartungen wurden nicht erfüllt. Es ist ein Minipark und die Kunst dort fand ich nicht besonders. Wer vom Farmers Market zur Space Needle läuft, kann hier vorbei - muss dies aber nicht.

A pretty cool (and free) outdoor sculpture garden with great views of the waters of the bay. I enjoyed the fact that you could wander though most of the art and that the park provided many spots to sit and relax and take in the surroundings. Can easily access the shoreline bike path (and Alaskan Way) from here so it makes for a great place to start (or end) a walk along the bay shore.

Not so olympic in size as the Seattle Public Library, but it still is a beauty. The park is scattered with several monuments near the waterfront and it really is gorgeous when the sun gets ready to set. This place seemed to be packed when we were here but its no surprise when it is sunny outside-a rarity in these neck of the woods. Its a nice walk from Pike Place Market but doable.

I love this place. The art is so beautiful and the best part is the whole thing is free to vist. Views of the water and the Space Needle are breathtaking. This is one of my favorite places in the city to go and think. There are lots of side trails and private places to get away from the hustle and bussle and just think. Went on a Sunday in winter and it wasnt too bussy.

Again heres another place that I just dont get. Somehow this place ended up with a 4.4 star rating before I got my hands on it. call The Outdoor art says please dont touch like its a piece of rusted metal I dont get it. Apparently Bill and Melinda Gates can afford a an Amphitheater but cant afford proper ground keeping. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Its a nice little park with sculptures, but small enough to see the entirety in about 20 minutes of really walking slowly. There are only about 8 total sculptures, though the area is quite nice and has good views of the water and mountains. Makes for a nice walk or a good starting point for exploring up the bay. Also a fairly quick walk from the space needle.

First of all, we are not native to Seattle, but we really enjoy living here. The Olympic Sculpture park is a lot of very heavy metal installed in the ground. I really like walking here, even though I probably only partially understand some of the pieces. Go for a walk here and relax and enjoy the vision of these artists, some of them might surprise you.
