Like most parks with a Sound view, this place offers plenty of natural beauty. The beach, that is mostly gravel & rounded stones, is narrow but long with lots of driftwood logs to sit on that add to the natural setting. There are 2 covered areas with about 4-5 picnic tables each, that can be reserved for larger parties. Park has another 10-15 standalone concrete picnic tables scattered along the path that runs the length of the park along the waterfront. Parking close by is limited with more in a second lot about a quarter mile up the road that is rather isolated & subject to higher security risks. Good place to view sunsets if thats in your interest. Note: Street names are strange near the park. SW 140th St. becomes SW Seahurst Park Rd., so some GPS software doesnt pick street address listed.

Two well maintained, flat, 1/3 mile paths along the shoreline for casual strolls, one paved and sun-exposed, the other gravel and tree-shaded. Theres also a steep 2/3 mile dirt access road at the end of the paved beachside path, for a more strenuous walk. On sunny days parking overflows into a huge upper parking lot, 1/4 mile from shore. In addition to an expansive beach, there is a modern play area / jungle gym for kids, with full running-water bathrooms nearby. A small snack stand is open seasonally. There are 3 party-size picnic shelters on the shoreline, with charcoal BBQs and picnic tables scattered around each one. The shelters can be reserved through the Burien city parks website, but at least one of them is usually vacant when you go on a whim.

Apparently they have recently remodeled, seems incomplete. There is not enough parking near the beach & although they do have several handicap stalls, they are all taken. Thankfully I got lucky with someone pulling out. My son is special needs, so parking close is an issue for us. The childrens play area is not suitable for my special son. For other kids, it seems cool to climb a giant rock to use the slide, but for my son its very dangerous & of coarse he wants to try. The park also smells of garbage. Im not sure if this is due to the construction or if there is sewage running near this location. & there is hardly any shade, only one structure, but no trees. Not our favorite park, but if youre in the neighborhood, its ok.

Love this park. It is always clean and is very well designed. Parking fills up quickly close down by the water, but there is plenty of spots always in the lot just up the hill. There is a playground for the kids and even a concession stand that provides food/snack and even rentals. The paths are great. We bring our 10 month old son and dog here all the time. Ive always met nice people who care about the park and clean up after themselves. There are trails that lead both north and south along the water as well as up in the trees. Walking on the beach is also very nice. Seahurst is a great park on the sound that is quintessential Seattle.

Nice waterfront park. I wrote a pretty harsh review when the district shut the place down totally do do some work, but now its finished! A great place for the city people. Big Puget Sound natural beach (mostly), and lotsa trees and woods. This is probably the closest woodsy relatively natural Sound beach to Seattle, at least on the south side. Youll hafta go a long way north before you get another wooded waterfront of any size on the sound. Plenty parking, trails and stuff for kids, walks etc.

Made a quick stop here before I had to leave Seattle but still had some time to kill before my flight. Its a great little park by the water. A small creek empties out into the water here. Great views of the waterfront. Theres a little playground and restrooms and there was a decent amount of parking. Its fairly close to Seatac Airport, so if you have some time to kill this is a great place to relax and enjoy the views.

Very clean and family friendly beach park, especially after their remodel. Theres a park for the kids, small trails and hiking opportunities for the adventurous and plenty of parking by the park or up the hill where theres another parking spot. Pet friendly and dates friendly. Take your partner here or take yourself here, but do it around sunset on a summer day - youll find yourself a beautiful view.

Awesome park, with ample space to escape the city. Lots of places to sit, along with some covered areas. Tables and grills for picnicking, at least one pavilion which can be reserved. The beach is rocky, so it isnt the easiest place to stroll, but it isnt the end of the world. Also, parking is tight at the lot closest to the beach but there is plenty of spaces a short walk up the hill (<5 min away).

Beautiful park. The toys themselves are a little more difficult for little ones to play on. But the beach is great, you can walk quite a ways and we always find interesting things to look at. The education center here often has events that we really enjoy as well! My only complaint about this place is the parking situation.

Working in Burien I get quite a few chances to go to this park. When Im down there Im never dissapointed. I know that the city put a lot of time and effort into making this park what it is today. Lots of trails going through the woods or you can hang out on the beach. Nice and secluded away from the rest of the city.

Great park for a walk or just enjoying the scenery. There is a play area for the kids and rental areas for group parties. Only downside to this park is the parking. The is very little near the beach, so if it is a busy time, you will have to park up the hill. If you are there for a walk, that is a plus.

Decent beach park away from the more populated beaches. More a stone beach then sand, theres a play structure and picnic buildings and public bathrooms. Ample parking in the above lot with just a short walk walk make it a fun place to explore w kids. Go when the tide is out!! Lots to see and find.

This is a great local park, it offers great Sound views, picnic and BBQ areas and my favorite , lots of running trails. Its seldom crowded. There is limited parking at the beach area but plenty just a block or so up the hill. Bring the the dog, the kids , a special friend of just your camera.

Nice beach to visit! And beautiful park around it too. Absolutely breathtaking. Some of the people visiting the park were kind of bumming around... and someone was smoking weed which was annoying. But besides those people it was nice to visit. Ill be coming back to watch the sunset here.

Have been a couple times and always enjoyed it with our grand kids. Imagine it might get crowded on weekends but have only visited during the week. Small playground, beach walks, sits at the mouth of a stream, both sunny and shaded areas. Small concession stand is nice when its open.

Great trails, beach access. Perfect Washington beach-pretty pebbles, beautiful huge driftwood pieces. A little playground for kids, and plenty of bbq grills. Looks like itd be popular in summer. On a cool day, with light rain, when I was there, there were still quite a few people.
