Well, this now makes two horrible experiences with the staff there. About 4 months ago I was there, I watched the staff over serve alcohol to one customer to the point where he was walking down the side walk and fell flat on his face. Earlier that day I noticed the tables had not been bused and there was flies about the piled up plates of food remnants. I then had a business meeting with a prospective client there. We were interrupted by a man behind us that was three sheets to the wind. He was yelling about stuffed artichoke hearts and string beans whilst pouring beer between two glasses and all over himself. Instead of asking him to leave, the "head of security" Joseph allowed him and his party to be served more drinks. Then Joseph, realizing me and my business compatriot had witnessed the horrible management and over serving had me no trespassed from the property to protect his drunken money machine. Joseph also became verbally aggressive with me and tried to intimidate me by following me to my car. Joseph has now been stalking me when I go for my walks late at night and as of yesterday lied to the police after he had stalked me when I was walking down the publicly owned thoroughfare. He told the police that I had "walked through the property" which I had not to my knowledge done. Nor could I have known that the roadway and side walk was any part of the establishment. There is no signs, nor any type of information denoting that area, which is currently used by construction crews as being part of the establishment. One night I even had a person well outside the property ask me if I could get him cocaine, I responded in the resoundingly negative. This place is a hot bed of stupidity and horrible employees and needs to be restaffed from top to bottom.

Stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. Well, actually you wont be able to get close to it because there are soooo many people trying to get in you cant park anywhere near the place. Went last Friday and 2.5 hour wait for a table for two at the Lodge. The Woodshop was so packed you couldnt get in the door (Its seat yourself and nobody was giving up seats) There was a huge line down the hallway for the Principals Office which is ridiculously tiny and might fit 10 people. McMenamins Why bother even opening this tiny little bar? Sound cool on paper but the execution sucks. Finally waited in line at the Shed and got a beer but the line was out the door and it took about 20 minutes to wait. Walked over to the Lagoon and there was 1.5 hour wait to get in? Whats up with all these people waiting for hours to get into these places? Its a neat place but for gods sake, its not worth the wait!!! I was talking to a friend that went there on Tuesday after a bike ride at 2pm and he and his friend didnt have to wait long for a table, but it was an hour wait for the food? Really? I know its only the first month but this is McMenamins! Theyve done this before! Finally we gave up (which Im sure they were happy about having fewer people milling around) and went to Pen Thai in old Bothell and sat right down and had dinner and a couple of beers without a wait. So... If I were you I would steer far away from this place until they can work out the kinks (Not sure if that is ever going to happen since they have no control over the mobs of people) and/or the crush of people slows down a bit...

Ive been to this location several times, including staying in the hotel. The grounds are amazing and the concept is incredible. Though I like Mcmenamins, the service we received at the Anderson School is extremely disappointing. Today we had lunch at the woodshed. We waited for over 15 minutes to get greeted at our table - since we seated ourselves - as advised on the sign. We even had to get our own menus from the hostess table, since no one offered. The server was nice, but clearly not trained. Every other person in the woodshed was rude. From the male bartender to the female working outside that answered our new servers question. There were several people on laptops working, clearly for Mcmenamins (what appeared to be managers, which is even more disturbing). Schedules, emails, documents, etc. No one really paying attention to the paying customer. If you are working - go to an office - get out of the bar. You are definitely not making your servers better at their jobs! It took 25 minutes to get lunch, and there was no more than 4 groups inside. I would go back more frequently if the service was better and attentive. I did though have a great experience in the Theatre, the person working it was top notch. And the front desk was great and friendly. Clearly the servers are not happy. They dont care about the customer or providing fast service (which would lead to more profits!!!) Maybe it is staffing. Maybe it is the culture. Which is why we wont return as often.

If I could give a 0 star I would! If youre a woman or not white then you just want get service. Our waiter was rude, non attentive and obvious had a problem with one of our friends. He coped an attitude as soon as our Asian tattooed friend showed up didnt let him sit down before asking for I.D. and cut him off after 2 COORS LIGHTS!! and 2 shots, making a scene and continuing to try to say our friend is drunk and getting mad???? Me, as a female and the other two women couldnt get his attention to save our lives!! I didnt even get all my drinks! I was tired of waiting for them, they werent even alcohol drinks. To make matters worse I had my husband find a manager and the lady wasnt paying much attention to what I was saying and then cut me off asking me to wait there and that she was going to handle it. We waited and the next thing I know the waiter came out to try to apologize!! Which normally, would be great, but it wasnt an apology, he basically tried to say he wasnt in the wrong the WHOLE TIME, trying to say he was at the table every 5 minutes (which he wasnt) and that he wanted to get everyone home safe and then proceeded to tell me he knew why he was "being rude toward our friend", cryptic and didnt give me much hope. He hated our friend so much he had the manager tell "The Woodshop" not to serve him!! He wasnt drunk! Never going back again!

My husband and I ate at the Lagoon Restaurant - big mistake! Due to being busy it took 15-20 minutes for our order to be be taken, 15 minutes later the waiter told us that the noodles for both our dishes was going to take an additional 30 minutes due to the kitchen being backed up. We changed our selection to pork meatballs and ahi burger. It took another 15 minutes to get our food. We have been at busy restaurants before but this was beyond acceptable. While we waited my husband ordered a 7-UP, it had an off taste so the waiter brought another and it too tasted off (both had an almost moldy flavor). My husband enjoyed his pork meatballs. However I found the ahi burger to be lacking in flavor, there was some heat but no flavor. As compensation we were given one dessert gratis, we chose chose a chocolate cheesecake. The dessert had a dull chocolate appearance like it had set in a dry refrigerator for too long. The taste and texture was of a brownie not a cheesecake. Both our waiters (Roscoe and Edith) were wonderful. They were the only positive of the entire experience.
