We dined on July 3rd, a lovely evening, with lots of excitement in the air for the holiday weekend. The outdoor area was packed. The inside was nearly empty The ambiance is pleasant. The menu sounded promising and the on-line reviews rave about this place, but I suspect they are written by the staff. Someone needs to tell the management and the public that the food is not good!!! We ordered the Monk Fish and the Ahi Tuna. The Monk Fish was totally uninspired. It sounded exquisite on the menu. It was anything but. The "blue corn" crusting was tasteless and sponge-like. The crab risotto was good but there was no hint of crab. The red pepper coulis was minimal and did nothing to spice up a dismal dish. We ate the risotto and left most of the monk fish. The waiter never asked about why so little of it was eaten. The Ahi Tuna was better but it was a mere piece of fish, (no inquiry as to cooking temperature by our waiter) simply residing on a sparse offering of jicama slaw. The sweet potato dumplings were tasty, but not really complementary to the fish. The Lime Granita was missing. Perhaps we hit this place on a bad night, but youd think theyd have the A-Team on for a Friday night with special events in town. NOT GOOD!! Consumer Beware!!

I took my wife there for Valentines Day dinner and $180.00 later we left very disappointed. I started with a bowl of shrimp bisque that tasted like it was straight out of a can, not a hint of shrimp or even a shrimp taste, after two bites I shoved it aside and my wife took a few bites and also didnt like it, the waiter took it away without even asking why we didnt eat it. My wife ordered the crab cakes which would have been delicious had it not been for some god awful reddish sweet sauce that absolutely ruined the flavor of the crab cakes. I had a veal porterhouse steak which was a nice thick cut and cook perfectly but had no flavor what so ever, it came with some kind of mushroom sauce with some red berries in it (possibly cranberries) which did not mix well at all with the sauce and again had no seasoning at all. The mashed potatoes and green beans were also very bland, I wanted to give my waiter the salt and pepper shaker to take back to the chef because he obviously did not have any in the kitchen. Overall the restaurant seems to be buying top quality food but the chef needs to be trained on how to pair ingredients and sauces to get a good flavor and how to season food properly.

Went here with my mom when we were just staying the night in winchester. We had seen it while walking around the shops. We didnt make a reservation and it was a Saturday night, but the place is bigger than it looks when you first walk in. We got seated in a back room that had a fireplace which was nice cause it was quiet and we could talk. It would be a great spot for a couple as well. The food was great, I had scallops and my mom had fish and both were delicious and I found the prices good for the menu. Overall I would say the food, atmosphere, and servive were great. Will go again if I ever return to the area.

My favorite upscale-but-casual dining in Winchester. The dining side can be deserted, but it is still very pleasant. The patio seating and the bar side are where we visit more often. Two menus--bar food and restaurant full meal--both excellent and you can order off either one regardless of where you sit. I should mention that the bar food is a little more gentile than usual; yeah you can get a burger, but also quiche and salad. We like the staff, food, and ambiance all very much.

By far my favorite place in Winchester! Excellent service, food, and drinks. The pizzas are a personal favorite, but I must say everything I have ordered from V2 has not only met my expectations but exceeded them. The atmosphere is very warm and accommodating, soft (live) jazz music on the weekend sets the mood for a most enjoyable experience. They have a fine selection of top shelf bourbon, and the best martinis in the valley. The draft selection is as equally impressive.

Sunday night in Winchester leaves little for those interested in a good meal. Cousin and I stumbled across the restaurant and had a fantastic evening with A+ drinks at the bar and A+ dining on crab cakes, risotto and asparagus. Wait staff was very friendly and made the evening even more delightful. Hope this place thrives for years to come as well be back.

We have Sunday brunch every chance we get at this restaurant. The service is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their food is delicious, served fresh and fast. Their Sunday brunch offer includes an unlimited mimosas and Bloody Mary bar. Highly recommend visitors and locals alike to try out this wonderful location on the downtown walking mall!

We ate here today. Too expensive Here is my complaint. 1.Order appetizer, tuna ceviche. Ceviche was bland needs more flavor. No serving plates. 2. Order lobster roll. The roll was not buttered, was dry and look like a small hog dog bun. Lobster was a good amount but needs for flavor. 3. Service, not desirable. Slow and not attentive.

The food us pretty good but it is not worth the price. Right now this restaurant is listed as "$$" and it really should be $$$ or even $$$$. The menu has an okay range of options but is very small, especially when compared to the hundreds of wine choices.

Food is above average, but so is the check. Some dishes are overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area serving same quality. It is a cozy place and is good for groups and during brunch specials.
