CST is my personal favorite venue for theater productions, movies, and concerts in the Valley. Its a beautiful place tastefully decorated and quietly majestic; its comfortable, intimate (about 250 seats), and ideally located with almost 10 eateries (upscale and downscale) within one blocks walking distance. CST managers select and book quality events that appeal to a wide range of interests--from bluegrass concerts to foreign film festivals, plays to lectures and panel discussions. Ticket prices are incredible values and a few of the events are free! Where else could see Linda Williams (a frequent guest of Garrison Keillors "Prairie Home Companion") for less than $30 or a play for less than $15.00? Over the years Ive attended concerts--including those by Ritchie Havens, the late Koko Taylor, Maria Muldor and Saffire Uppity Blues Women and Ive seen films overlooked by the local "multi-plex"--including premieres of films later shown nationally on PBS stations. CST is the preferred venue of The Playhouse (the only community supported theater group in the area) whose plays are eagerly anticipated and performances frequently sold-out. In fact, only minutes ago I reserved seats to see with friends tonights Playhouse production of "The Last Night of Ballyhoo". We are mighty proud of our CST jewel of a theater. . .but were more than willing to share it with out-of-towners. Yall come!

Nice art house theatre. Due to the pitch of the seats, avoid sitting towards the back of the theatre as you will be staring at the top of the head of the person in front of you.
