Thank goodness for Gary........ Our troop recently called Bowl America in Fairfax to reserve lanes for an MLK day outing. We called repeatedly asking if our reservations were set confirming our lanes for our troop on MLK day. After several phone calls and the employees telling us that we were all set, we arrived as scheduled at noon on MLK day. Did they have our lanes reserved for us? No. Did anyone in the office know anything about our reservation or our many phone calls? No. Did they even seem sorry or to care that our reservations were missing? No. Although front desk employee, Sherry, was lacking in customer service and friendliness, she finally did get us squared away with lanes – after some troubles. The farthest she would go in appeasing us about our lost reservations was to bark at us, “Who did you talk to?” “Didn’t you get their name?” “Was it a man or a woman?” No, Sherry, they didn’t offer up their name and how would that help us here and now in getting our troop bowling? Sherry was very quick to tell us to take our drinks of water that we brought in to the food counter to get new cups bec. were not allowed to bring food in. Thanks, Sherry! Most helpful. To add, the 2 technicians who service the lanes (1) did not speak English - either because they couldnt or chose not to; and (2) were unhelpful and unresponsive to our requests when the lane needed some attention. Only the new manager, Gary, was able to turn our situation around and make it a pleasant experience for us. Not only is he responsive, professional and friendly, but he dresses neatly and sharply and seems genuinely interested in improving the business and focusing on the CUSTOMER. Our biggest complaint is the lack of organization, professionalism, and customer service - not to mention friendliness - from the staff. If Gary, who seems to really know what he is doing in running a bowling alley and creating customer satisfaction, is able to hire his own staff, these lanes could be a booming business. The prices are high for the area, many of the staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and totally lacking in customer service. Please give Gary the reins and let him bring a crew on board who could turn the lanes around. It’s also in need of a facelift. If it werent for the new manager, Gary, we would not go back to Bowl America at Fairfax Circle. Fortunately Gary seems very motivated to turn these lanes around and serve the public and create customer satisfaction in a pleasant, professional and WELCOMING environment. thank you, Gary! We know you will turn this place around!

Bowl America Fairfax brings back memories of suburban group outings, birthday parties, and high school date nights. This Bowl America looks a bit ghetto from the outside, located in the backside of a Korean grocery store (Lotte) and some other Korean shops. The inside looks like it hasnt been renovated since the late 70s and gives off a retro feel. Prices are fairly cheap compared to other bowling alleys though. My boyfriend and I decided to have a suburban date night not too long ago and we went on a Friday night. On Friday nights, you can do unlimited bowling for $13.99 with shoe/ball rental, so thats not too bad price-wise. It was also neat because on Friday nights, they have cosmic bowling, which I hadnt yet experienced. Lights are out, disco balls are lit up, lights on the side of the bowling lanes go on, music is blasting, and theres even a smoke machine. We had a pretty fun time. Only one mechanical issue - my bowling ball and the pins got stuck at one point, but they reset everything quickly. The bowling balls are incredibly dirty and greasy though. When we were done and I went to go wash my hands, my hands were black and oily. I didnt get any food or drinks, but they all look meh especially the food.

Quality of everything is poor. The staff is Un friendly starting at the door to the kitchen staff. The guy behind the bar Mohammad gives un-needed attitude for everything. The guys at the desk want nothing else then to not talk to you. I used to come here a ton before Sean the old manager left now I dont know who runs it but they dont enjoy their job and it shows. Sad to see the only bowling ally for locals of fairfax be so bad. Seems like if you wanna really enjoy a night bowling you have to drive to Reston or Annandale which is the plan for me from now on. Equipment is poor as well and havnt seen any updates in 10 plus years.

Well, I have to admit, Ive been there twice, but its kinda weird there. First, it has an amazing vibe to it, like an old time-y one. Music is amazing! The guy at the shoe thing seems like her hates his life, but ehh. Bowling is so much fun there! I feel so happy when I go there! Ive read the bad reviews, and I made sure I didnt eat anything… but like… ehh… whatevs. Theyve been nice to me so far so… yeah. And lastly, I think Ive had more fun there, then anywhere else! This place is a horrible place to bowl. Their equipment is really out dated, the service and food is bad, and our lane(s) kept breaking down! Our first land broke down 4 times, and then for good. So they sulhut down that land and switched us to another lane. And so far, that broke down 3 times. Oh, and this whole experience has been through 1our and a half games.

Dont even want to "1 star" but I have to. This place is such a rip off. There were no prices for bowling. Such a rip off. Payed $60 and some change for 3 games and it was myself and 1 other. Also pitchers of beer is per 2 people, fine, but when theres 3 people, they wouldnt let us get 2 pitchers....horrible place, people, and prices. I dont recommend to know one

The bowling itself was fine... but everything else was TERRIBLE. The computers were strait out of the 70s, the service was borderline offensive and they practically pushed us out the door at 12:15 on a friday night. No music, no bar service. Not a place to party, thats for sure. And Id be ashamed to take my family there as well. Avoid this place.

Im not sure what everybody is not happy about. We had a Birthday party , they were very accommodating, helpful and welcoming. The food was excellent, they baked fresh pizza that I thought it is the best among the nearby pizza places. the place was clean and I thinK newly renovated. It was a great experience the kids and adults loved it

A comfortable facility on Fairfax city Blvd featuring bowling alleys as well as professional leagues and parties, snacks, drinks and arcade games. It’s hard to ignore such a family friendly place. A high recommendation for bowling lovers.

After going to the bowling alley in Centreville, I will never come back here. Very limited selection on food/beer and everything is old/run down. When a girl in my group asked for a lighter ball they said it was reserved for children.

Some lanes stop working really easily. Whenever I go there I feel like I went back in time to the 80s because of the looks of the place. The service is decent, though it feels a little pricey to play.
