Ive been golfing here for 20+ years and have always enjoyed it until the last couple of years. The courses quality had gone down a bit, prices have climbed faster than others in the area, and the staff have become arrogant and lacking in almost any ability to provide good customer service. Played there this last weekend - staff greeting: "who the hell are you?" I told him which group I was with. "Why the hell did it take you so long to get here? Your group is up after this next one gets off the tee." Ok, thanks. I informed him I would be walking the course - "yeah, right. Thatll be $51 with a cart." I looked at him confused - "youre not walking; I dont believe that for a second. Youre riding." I dont like confrontations much, so I paid and went on my way. The course is in good condition again but the staff and the constantly escalating costs have made sure this golfer wont be coming back. Too bad after coming here for so may years.

way over crowded .... the office staff are a bunch of ornery old men and 1 young lady that have the worst customer support..... this is not a family friendly place to teach your kids / spouse how to golf ... my 5 year old has been on a golf course for 4 1/2 years and plays golf with me 2 times a week ... the staff 3-4 people behind the desk told me I couldnt bring my child out in a cart with me and my wife who also golfs even if I pay greens fees for her ..... stay on the freeway and go to the top rated course in the state with worry free golf and a friendly staff ... go to Thanksgiving point to golf with a clear mind instead of this grumpy old man hangout were you are just another person the give a crusty look at for walking on there grass .... hey stay off my lawn !! just use your logic before you attempt to golf at this old folks home !!

The product seemed a lot better 10 or even 20 years ago. You will be happy if you run into Abe. The rest of the staff over the years have turned a little sour. The course it self is great even though they are trying to charge more for a product that was a lot better when I was frowning up 15-20 years ago. I have had the same experience with Greg Cayais as a lot of people. I used to stick up for him and give him the benefit of the doubt but too many experiences and so many others just dont like the guy because of the interactions and comments he has made. It makes me rethink even going up there. When I think golf Bonneville doesnt even come to mind. Too bad since it was such a sacred place for me growing up. I hope he can turn it around and start treating others like he would like to be treated.

I would rate this course five stars simply if it played faster. It gets stacked with people and 18 hole rounds are often more than five hours and pushing six. The course itself has some real easy holes and some challenging ones. They changed the layout a bit and switched the nine holes, which was a good move making No. 18 (the old No. 9) a great finishing hole. The greens are slick as well but the course is in good shape for the most part, hopefully the city will keep it that way.

Played Bonneville Golf course in Salt Lake city while visiting my son who is in Utah for the summer. Greens fees, Premium Club rental and a cart were under $80 for the two of us on a weekend afternoon which I thought was very fair. Course was in nice shape for a city owned course with nice greens and well watered fairways. Great views of the mountains which might be nothing special for the locals but were distracting (in a good way) for a visitor from the east coast.

Bonneville is the classic, old style municipal course. Watch the time you tee off, or you will be looking at a 5+ hour round. A little tough to walk unless you are used to hills. Very short course, so dont be afraid of playing it from the "tips", and let the greens clear before your second shots on all the par 5s, they are all VERY reachable!

Liked everything except that they turn the sprinklers on you when your golfing!!! Seriously.... Dont do that. If you play in the evening be sure to ask them to respect your time until you finish. Great greens. A few tee boxs were pretty un-even and sloped. Staff is really great! Some of the best Ive experienced.

Bonneville seems a little over priced for what it is, but is always busy so I guess they must have it priced right for the location. I enjoy the course and its always in good shape. My favorite holes are #s 1, 5, 6, 9, 11, 18. Walking this course is a little more exercise than the average Salt Lake course.

This was my "home course" for a decade back in the 1970s. I can see by the pictures that a lot of money has been put into this course. Looks great! We would "sweep the dew" off the greens in the morning, play 18 to 36 holes and STILL be on the putting green after dark! Great staff, great course all around!

Bonneville is my favorite place to play in the Valley HOWEVER Gregory Cayias the assistant pro is THE rudest person Ive encountered at the golf course. whether over the phone or in person, he treats you with no respect. Watch out for this guy. Other than that the rest of the staff is wonderful!

Played the front nine at Bonneville. Its not overly challenging, although some drives have a tenancy to roll off the right side of the fairway. Average greens, but that can be a compliment. Ill play here again after visiting other courses in the Salt Lake valley.

Although the club house / pro shop is a 3, Im giving the course a 5. This is one beautiful, scenic, architecturally pleasing golf course! And it is a muni! From out of town but if I lived here it would be my home course.

Great Municipal course. Hilly, so you should probably get a cart. It can get busy, because it is very popular and the best course close to downtown.

One of my favorite course in salt lake. Been around forever. Huge beautiful trees. Very long course but not unfair. With the price of admission

Garage sale rental clubs! Sprinklers came on halfway through the round, no one in the pro shop. What a waste of time for the money!

Great course nestled in the foothills of Salt Lake City. Great fairways and plush greens that role true.
