This is the course I play at most of the time on the weekends. I dont play enough to be a full time member, but I have invested in the DVR card which gives me reduced greens fees and range balls. I use the range a lot and am very happy with the quality of the range turf and the balls themselves. The course is a very fun track and offers a lot of variety. There are a few holes where driver off the tee just isnt the right play and I can appreciate that forcing me to think rather than just step up and hit. I have been going here for a year and a half and the condition of the course has gotten better over that time. Initially they were recovering from a rebuild of the greens and they were very very hard. You had to land the ball short to keep it on the green. They have started to soften up somewhat and even though they arent there yet, they are definitely getting better. The rest of the course is usually in great shape from the condition of the turf to the sand in the traps. The greens can get beat up in certain areas, but they seem to be pretty good about moving the flags to let them recover. Price wise, they are a little high in my opinion. With the DVR card it makes the fees manageable, but I wouldnt be playing here as much without it. There are other courses around me that are the same price and I feel are in better condition or just manicured more. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Ive never had an issue with any of them in any way. I would definitely recommend that you play some golf here, but if you are going to do it regularly get the DVR card or a membership.

From the "bag drop" on, we were treated as royalty. Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Checking in was a breeze and we were given quality carts. We were escorted to the first tee. Once on the course, the first thing we noticed, we had a real problem figuring out where the greens were located. The hole gps readout was a little difficult to see as there was a lot of glare. Several hazards, especially working through the desert brush. Would have been easier if I knew where the greens were located. I wasnt sure of my targets. Even a ground mound arrow would be a great assist. Will I return. Absolutely! Its a demanding course, especially the need for course management. Water supply on nearly every hole and a well maintained cart path. What set Dove Valley Ranch GC above many others is the staff. Thanks for a very enjoyable round of golf.

I played this couse on January 1, 2015. I have been playing golf for 45 years and this is the worst conditions I have ever played on. No green grass at all on course. The fairways are dirt or green mold of some kind. You wont see any mowers on this course because there isnt any grass to mow. Greens are sand and hard as a rock and covered with bird droppings. So much so that its impossible to remove them to make any sort of straight put. By the time the ball reaches the hole the ball is covered in bird droppings. The only part of the course that was in good shape was the sand traps. Well maintained and good uniform sand. Dont waste your money on this course this winter. Its too bad because the staff is very friendly. I would try this course again, but not until summer time.

Played on 7/29/11. This was a waste of money. The fairways are basically hard pan without any grass. The greens are fair but the appearance of the course is like they simply gave up on it. The tee boxes had weeds and overgrowth everywhere. The divot bottle in the cart was empty. There was no water buckets on the driving range to clean your clubs, or I should say there was no water in the buckets. Simple lack of detail and prices that are above the norm makes this course a one star at best. If you want to spend less money and get driving range included go to Vista Verde or Tonto Verde or Rancho Manana in the area. Dove Valley pay your water bill and start caring

In spite of the dry greens and fairways, my husband and I really enjoyed the course. Wide open front nine and interesting back nine with more links type golf and divided fairways. Had to put away my driver on the back nine as the ball rolled a long way. Staff were super friendly, helpful, and completely open about the course conditions and the green fees were reduced to take into account the conditions. Will definitely go back and in a couple weeks the course will keep getting better and better.

Dont let these comments scare you away. Yes the course is not what it normally is, but is still fun to play, the staff are great, and the prices are very reasonable. My wife and I played the other day, very lady friendly. Great view, great experience. The big deal is the greens, which are very fast, and hard to hold. Just stay below the hole, and enjoy the experience.

Sweet summer course good service in bar friendly very enjoyable I play this course at least 1x per week. Greens a little firm if you can live with that play for the roll can score out here easily greens roll true. I love this course would join it however the pro staff could be more engaging and friendly. Remember customer service is job #1.

Fairways were in excellent condition. Greens were slow due to overseeding. Would bump up rating to 4 stars once greens are cut. Cannot honestly give this course 5 stars because of the wasteland they call a practice range. Plus there is an additional charge for practice balls on top of your greens fee.

The staff is very friendly and helpful but twice played and pace of play was very slow. First visit 5 hours, second 4:45. Conditions are strange. The grass looks like its water starved yet your ball can get plugged in many areas due to super soggy spots. Nice folks but wont return.

thought place was well run. Greens were very fast downhill good golf range into the wind. staff very attentive. Only problem we finished at 6:30 in March and they close up everything including bar by 7 pm. One drink and out. Would go back, but not close to anything really

Played on 8/14/11 and thought the course was in great shape. Fairways were in good shape, tee boxes were clean, only problem was they just airified the greens so they were a little slow. Overall 4 stars, will be playing there again

The greens and fairways are in really good shape. The beverage cart ladies came by maybe 10 times during the round which we highly appreciated on this warm June morning.

Brand new course, very firm and fast greens, nice staff, a good experience overall. I beleive the charge for practice balls is a bit ludicrous
