I was invited to play in a foursome today by a local credit union. myself and 2 others are business clients of this credit union.... I want to start off by saying the course was in excellent shape and we all really enjoyed the course on the first 9 of 18 holes... On hole 10 it all changed... We let a twosome play through, we teed off 2nd. right as teed off a threesome of older woman came rolling up behind us. In the middle of the fairway the golf marshall(Sam) came rolling up on us demanding we exit the fairway right away and let this threesome play on through. We asked can you please just let them play through on next tee box. His answer was "No Way!" We then made us stand off to the side and wait for this group that was NOT fast play through, from tee box to green on this par 4. The woman group even apologized to us saying, they did not ask him to let them play through and they thought that his behavior was bizarre... This type of move on over in the fairway "etiquette" he imposed on us I never had to do in 25 years of golf. But we still shut our mouth and let it happen. Two holes later though, this same marshall was waiting for us next to the tee box with a big smirk on his face. It started off with us stating we have never had to do anything like that before and how we had let a twosome just play through...But he would not have any of that from us. He then preceded to show very hostile verbal, aggression and complete disrespect towards. We are all business professionals on a golf course and this marshal went out of his way to impose his will and perceived dominance on us. He was a complete bully! We told him that we used to enjoy playing the course and his answer was he "used to like the people who play there too". It got to the point where the marshall walked up into the face of one of the guys in our group and put his finger in his chest. After it was all said and done. We walked back to hit our tee shots and he just had to have the last remark... "Look at you guys playing from the blue tees when you cant even hit the ball". We were a non drinking group and we are all well played golf fans(like most people are) on a business outing. This should not have happened to us..... P.S. it is not east to hit a golf ball when your blood is boiling....

Getting right to it, this might be the best $30 (I walked on a Monday) course you will ever play in your life. There are a lot of deals out there, but this is truly a hidden gem situated on the mountain side of Bountiful SLC. If you are in town for work or pleasure PLAY THIS COURSE! The greens were spectacular and rolled true and medium fast, the fairways were healthy, lush, and "strong," and the bunkers were amazingly maintained. I wish this course was in my local Pittsburgh for it would be in my regular 3 course rotation. More details.. This course was recommended to me by many of my fellow local serving military members and by a local county clubs head pro. I had time for only one more round (my other was the Canyon Course at Mountain Dell) for my stay in SLC and after seeing a recommendation by a golf related account I follow on Instagram (@beautifulgolfcourses) I knew where I was going yesterday. The layout is situated on a mountain side yet was forgiving on more holes than you would expect. Generous fairway width would make this course playable for all ages and skill levels. I choose to walk and did so with little strain and was happy I did, the abundance of different species of trees tickled the visual senses and was highlighted by the constant back drop of both the mountains and city located at the base of the mountain. I was in no hurry to rush this beauty as a single riding a cart might do. The course superintendent needs many pats on the back, he/she has this track in remarkable shape! I hope I have to come back out here in the near future, Bountiful Ridge will be my first course played.

I was so hurt that I decided to make a google account just to give you all an honest "heads up" This is a beautiful course; but the people not so much. I have NEVER been treated badly at any of Utahs beautiful courses until today. Do not spend your money at this course. Go spend money where it is wanted, needed and appreciated. Sun Valley is not that much further and the people are amazing. Mount Ogden just a little further and so much more to offer in beauty and people. If youre heading south hit up Rose Park or Mick Riley. Again honestly any course has much more to offer. The ranger is an unhappy guy. He stalked us and made me feel like I was at a nazi concentration camp (below his worth) If I wasnt raised to respect my elders I would have treated him as he treated us (awful). Communication, respect, customer service is a must. My money is just as good as any. I will let everyone I run into know about how much I dislike Bountiful Ridge.

Golf Is a game about patience and focus and calm. This course rushes you to the point of destroying all three entirely. Trying to focus while some old guy is staring you down telling you to hurry up is quite a challenge. I have never had as frustrating an experience at a course as I did here. Especially when Utah has so many other beautiful courses to choose from youd think theyd focus more on keeping their customers rather than pushing them to get off the course as fast as possible. I just came out to enjoy a relaxing game after a long week at work, not be hassled the whole time.

I left a review yesterday with a star rating of 1/5. if you read that review you will see how we were treated, HOWEVER, I was able to speak with a John Pitt from the Bountiful city council who is in charge of parks and recreation for the city of Bountiful and I can say that he really went above and beyond to make our experience which was negative and turned it into a positive. The actions of him and those he contacted have made it where we will return to play Bountiful Ridge in the future when 24 hours ago I would never be seen there again. THANK YOU JOHN!

I want to start out by saying very boldly!!! Sam the Marshall should not be allowed the position he is in! On two different times Sam outwardly mocked people in our group. It was the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced on a golf course. I will never golf at Bountiful Ridge again!

Great course! It really is a hidden gem, this course should be Country Club. We had great time, staff was helpful and cheerful, they gave me tip that everything breaks to the lake and I found out that even when it didnt look like it, they were right. Really fun, everyone needs to play it!

One of the best cared for courses public courses in the state. This course has always been in excellent condition when Ive played. A couple of the holes across the street are a bit of a hike but the rest of the course is pretty easy to walk. My favorite holes are #8, #11, #18.
