I like this little park. It is not often that you find an artesian well in the middle of a city- and one that you can fill your own water bottles for free! I sometimes stop here on my way back from Liberty Park to fill my water bottles. The water has a pleasant mineral taste and is fairly cool in temperature. I was a bit concerned about the water quality but Salt Lake City maintains a water quality report on the parks website so you know what youre getting.

Love this little spot! Happened across it a few years back while out and about with my kids, we were all a little thirsty but our water bottles were empty. This was a wonderful find at the time. Love that we have the chance to obtain real artesian well water at no additional cost than bringing your own containers!

This used to be spring water up until the 90s when the tests came back with high amounts of contamination. Then it got closed for around 6 months got its current face lift and is now piped with SLC culinary water. But its still fun to watch the people flow in and out for the free water. :p

The water is great, but there is almost always a line during daylight. Plan on waiting 2-5 minutes on average. People are always nice, and common courtesy is the rule. If you want a quick taste or to fill up a single bottle, they will let you in faster.

The contamination of water = H2O by dihydrogen (2 Hydrogen) monoxide (1 Oxygen) is confirmed. Water is contaminated by...Water. This is a great place to fill water bottles, jugs for drinking and a great place to relax and cool off in the shade in summer.

We fill our water bottles at this well. Its free and the water tastes great. Plan on waiting a while to fill your bottles but often you can have great conversations with people that are waiting.

We love getting our water here. Overall maintenance could definitely be improved. There is often ice buildup in the winter, clogged drainage at other times.

Nicely fixed up for water nerds. The city has had this redone nicely for interested parties to get their water fix. 4 spouts make it easy.
