I called to see if I could switch around my tee time and Fred Wald answered and abruptly said, "not an option." Becuase of how rudly he said it I wasnt sure if he was speaking to me or someone else. I then asked for another manager to ask him the same quesiton to see if he would be more helpful. He said there was another manager there but needed to know in what it was in regards to. I told him I just need to speak with a different manager and he said he couldnt pass me through unless he knew what it was for. I have golfed this course for the last 10 years and havent had a poor experience like this. Not only that, I have held a corporate membership for the last 5. Mr. Wald needs to learn some people skills, especially if he is in the customer service business. He wanted to get me off the phone as fast as possible so he could get back to watching golf on T.V Im sure. Get someone else to answer the phone if your going to be a premiere golf course here in Utah. Maybe thats why the PGA tour wont come back to that course with such bad service to offer.

The course is pretty good but you can find as good of places to play for cheaper. Prepare for the wind as it blows pretty hard there and a north wind can make the back nine pretty miserable. No. 4 is a real cool hole, so are holes No 12 and No. 17. Teeing it forward will make your day more enjoyable, playing the course from the tips is a workout, even the blues will challenge the low handicapper. Since my original review which I gave the course three stars, things have gone downhill a bit: Im not sure what has happened since I last played this course, usually one of the best in the state. But not a single sand trap was in good shape, one even had a utility cart in it. No cart girl, no water in the coolers and a twilight rate of $54 bucks. Not worth the money with all the wonderful scenic golf courses this state has for a much lower price. The pin placements were a joke and discourage fast play. Nothing like watching foursomes three and four putting in front of you.

As couch of Arizona interstate golf team, our 6 man (juniors) team had an opportunity to play the hosted event at Thanksgiving Point. Players from competing teams were highly accomplished and found the course to be very challenging and absolutely beautiful. They loved it! The golf and food and beverage staff were simply amazing as was their food. This was a few years back and by what I hear, Thanksgiving Point has remained one the best Utah has to offer. By the way, Arizona narrowly lost to Utah on this challenging and diverse course. See you again this summer!

Played the Course for the first time in many years. Very disappointed. The starter was rude and the course was in horrible condition for the price they charge. Ill take South Mountain thank you. I was also very surprised at the calibre of players on a Championship course. No Marshalls to teach them etiquette. Wow how frustrating. I never would have expected it at this course. I would tell you to save your money. Im sure they wont miss me and I certainly will not miss them. Really , cut the grass, fairways and greens.

Thanks for wasting my only free day in the area. I called at 8 am and they said open play would start at 1;00 pm because of a tournament but no problem getting out then. I arrived at 12 to hit balls and oh, guess what, the range is closed until 4:00...that would have been good information to have received; oh and play really wont start until maybe 1:45 if you are lucky. Nice. Could have gone somewhere else but too late now since I am depending on a hotel shuttle. Hope all your grass gets fungus.

I have golfed here many times. The course is very nice and pretty challenging. However, the bugs in the summer will kill you. It is right by the Jordan River and they eat you alive. I have never paid to play here so I have no opinion on the cost, even though golf in Utah is generally inexpensive. The club house is nice but the food could be taken up a notch. There are better courses around but this is a good option for Utah County.

Golfed on Friday here, then again on Sunday the pins where not changed the greens around the pins sucked the holes were hammered. Sand traps were water traps. Inside the pro shop there said they usually do not change the pin placements over the weekends because the guy has the weekends off. Do not waste your money on the place. PS: there old driving range has become an office building you need to drive a mile to hit balls.

Seriously ?!?
Went back for a round and was reminded why I quit playing there. Very poorly managed, always at least a 5 hour minimum round. Never a marshal, just retired men looking for golf balls. And when you do report that there is a group of kids driving there cart on the greens, no one seems to give a damn because they already have there money. Oh, and not to mention, they no longer have a driving range.

I would never pay to play a round of golf here. I only play here when someone has a free round. - Greens are terrible. Always have divots, or are bumpy or not mowed - Tee boxes arent even - Play is always slow (expect a 5 hour round) - Sold out the driving range to put in a commercial office. You now have to drive through the 9th hole to hit balls before playing. Its not worth the price you pay.

Memory of the course ruined by starter and lack of marshall for pace of play. Im a 7 handicap and starter publicly embarrassed us into not playing Gold tees for pace of play, then no marshall on the course and allowed a twosome with no one infront of them to play a 6 hr round in front of us. lots of tricked up forced carries, made it challenging enough but pace of play is dreadful as a result.

This course is pretty nice but I think their target of having a high end golf course just never really worked in utah county. Pretty overpriced for the course, I think some of the public courses are just as good as here for half the cost. But it is a beautiful course with some insane views. #17 is a long par 3 over the water on an island green where the river wraps around. Its pretty sweet.

Thanksgiving Point has some very fun holes. Hole #17 is my favorite seventeenth hole in the state. Other great hole here include #3, #4, #7, #12, #14. Im pretty sure this course wont allow you to walk it. Ive played here several times and mostly seen it in great shape. Was surprised a couple of times to see it in poor condition. A little pricey but some great deals can be found.

I almost cant explain why I didnt like the course, it was just kinda bizarre. Its almost as if they spanned it over too much area and tried to make it too unique. Doesnt feel like a normal course for whatever reason. Prices are high, but random deals bring in lots of cheap golfers at times which can create some chaos. A very challenging course to be sure, but I wasnt a huge fan.
