Spring Valley has owners who really care about the little place. It needed a lot of TLC and has gone through quite a transformation since 2011, not to mention a historical drought that first year! Keeping a little 9 hole golf course in great condition in a flood way can be challenging so if youre looking for pristine conditions, look somewhere else. If youre looking for a good little 9 hole to walk (or ride) with tight fairways to practice your accuracy, then Spring Valley is for you. Prices are right too! For disc golf... its one of the best liked and played courses in all of the Houston area. The Pro Shop? All your regular golf needs can be acquired there (balls, tees, gloves, etc.) but the Disc Golf merchandise is the BEST in all of Southeast Texas! Thanks for Playin!!

If you are here to play disc golf its probably great for that. I wouldnt go here to play golf though. Its definitely a laid back place the people are very friendly, and you can get a beer for $2. Thats where the positive reviews stop though. The carts were very dirty, they charged me extra to have my 3 year old ride in the cart, the unkept greenway behind my house is in better shape than the fairways, there really arent tee boxes... just "areas to hit from", and the greens are only identifiable because of the flag stick. I recommend a driving range over this place because its not even worth taking your putter to the green. In fact, its hard on your clubs because the course is in such bad shape. I kid you not.

You might as well play in a field. Quite a bit of dirt in and around the fairway and the fairway itself was very hard. Even the green was full of dead spots. The 9 hole course is also for frisbee golf, so try not to hit the big metal goals scattered all over the course. The cart paths are all bumpy dirt paths. Staff and even the owner himself are apparently not concerned with repeat business judging by the way they treated us. I dont mind playing at less expensive golf courses, but for the $25 dollars to play (including cart fee) I expected a MUCH better course. I will not be returning and strongly recommend you save your money. Did I mention the actual title is Spring Valley Golf Club and RV Park.

Terrible golf course, stay on dirt road path only. Dont bring your good clubs cause youll ruin them on the rock hard fairways. The whole course is dirt with a couple patches of grass and you leave with dirt dust on everything you own. No elevation or water hazards. The only Par 5 is equal to a par 4 & par 4s are about 10 feet longer than a par 3. You also have to share your holes with the disc golfers who dont wear shirts. Its worth the extra $20 to play a real course somewhere else.

Great place for golf or disc golf... Many challenges here for either golf game you choose, though I prefer the challenges of the "disc golf" course instead. The staff is always friendly and the pro shop is pretty solid for the location. They have had some really good events here for tournaments and charity fundraisers, so come play the course as a finesse layout or the power layout. *bring your mosquito spray - this is Houston after all*

A fantastic dg course and great 9 hole ball golf course 5 minutes from the heart of The Woodlands! This is a perfect place to practice your golf game for a great price before hitting one of the $$ courses - The course is in fantastic condition. New owners a couple years ago have come in and really cleaned up the place and groomed the course immaculately. For the dgr, this is the best stocked store anywhere around the Houston area.

What an awful experience. Front desk service was rude and unhelpful. The disk golf course was atrocious. My buddies and I collectively lost 5 discs in the trees and thick bushes. The tees are poorly placed. There is almost no information provided at the tee so you basically have to walk the entire hole to get an idea how to approach it without losing your disc. This course doesnt even deserve one star it deserves ZERO.

Disc golf was ok, never been more stressed on a golf course in my life. Checked our ice chest for beer twice, then after an hour of trying to get through the first hole they come back to let us know we cant have our dog. Cant say if the course is in good shape or not. I was charged the same amount for green fees and a cart as my brother who was riding with me, and my friend that had his own cart.

This place sucks.... Payed $30 to play the course twice since there is only 9 holes... Plus the redneck course marshall follows you around like a pedifile and is just waiting for you to drive off the course so he can scream at you... hated it will never do it again... its almost the same price to play a good neighborhood course.. Never go here.... Course marshall ruined everything

Laid back course and staff. Extremely affordable. And not terribly busy on weekdays. This is an ideal situation for beginners who dont need lush scenery, swanky clubhouses, or quite frankly, the pressure to move it along. Couple a bucks a beer and green fees around ten dollars will keep me coming back again and again, even if it lacks the aesthetics of other courses.

Absolutely terrible experience. Map very inaccurate and overall a awfull layed out course. Very easy to loose disc and my friends and I were only there for 20min. We told the employee about our experience and he had nothing to say. Dont waste your time. Make a trip to Conroe

Best prices in the area and honestly, you get what you pay for in regards to quality of the course (speaking of the golfing side of things). However, the course has a lot of natural beauty and the staff was very helpful, just be prepared for some less-than-perfect greens.

This is one of the best course in the area. It has it all starting with the disc for sale before you even start seems they have everything and if you spend $25 on disc you play for free. Love the different tournaments throughout the week for all levels.

Good experience, however the website states hours of operation are supposed to be Mon-Sun 7 am-7 pm but actually opens at 8 am. Please update website to reflect such or honor the hours mentioned because I have made several trips hoping to play a quick game.

This course has traditionally been one to sharpen your skills on. The main customers in the past few years have been disk golfers, folks very serious about their game. The owner is friendly and talkative. We applaud them for keeping The Woodlands wooded!!!

This is my favorite disc golf course in the area, and the variety of discs and DG merchandise in the pro shop is unmatched. Ever since Bear Branch changed their course and made everyone hate it, Ive considered this my home course.

The disc golf is great. Pro shop has a huge selection of discs, and the staff was very helpful. Golf course looked like it was in good shape, too. I highly recommend playing here. IMO, the best disc golf course in north Houston.
